Mustache of God Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 A 4th line center / SHOOTOUT SPECIALIST who couldn't stay healthy? This will certainly hurt the team. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 I'm crying over this Said no one Quote
Sabre fan Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 would much rather see anybody from Rochester (Bailey?) get a shot before re-signing aging vets...if we are going to lose I would rat6her do it with young guys like the Leafs did a few years back Quote
Sabel79 Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 Eh, I liked watching him skate. I can't remember him doing anything else. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 (edited) He was a slightly better 4C than Larsson in the 5 games he played completely healthy. Which means it fundamentally makes no difference whether he plays in Buffalo or on Mars next seasonBest wishes to him. Edited April 27, 2018 by Randall Flagg Quote

DarthEbriate Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 I loved the signing last offseason. Below the radar, cheap contract for a SO specalist with the wheels to play an aggressive forecheck. But he was never healthy. A fourth line of Bailey - Josefsson - Baptiste would be nice. But, like the TIE Interceptor he was all speed with no shields. Good cannons for a shootout weren't enough to overcome his own inevitable encounter with destruction the injured list. Throw in the requirement for a transport/carrier because of a lack of hyperspace capability (meaning he couldn't carry his own line)... and we can find a better alternative. Quote
Weave Posted April 28, 2018 Report Posted April 28, 2018 Shouldn't we have a yawn emoji? We used to. It even says yawn gif in the pop up box. Must have been disabled. Quote

TheAud Posted April 28, 2018 Report Posted April 28, 2018 I fear he'll never be able to repeat that glorious 2014-2015 season when he put up 14 points in 58 games. His career looks like a model for Nylander based on evidence to date. Except the part about being a good 4th line grinder and shootout specialist because I don't think Alex is either of those. Quote

You know, Alex is (was?) actually fantastic at shootouts. Josefsson is a great comparable. Quote

Yeah, a smooth skating yet not all that fast Swede drafted in the 1st round who can't score for sh*t. Nailed it. Quote
