Thorner Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Hate to support Blue on anything, but I think he’s right about Nylander maybe being a better NHLer than AHLer. What he’s impressed me with is the way he understands spacing and puck movement. Might be a guy who needs to be playing with players who think the same game. I feel like Reinhart is similar in that way. Quote
Stoner Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Hmmm, so that offensive zone draw by ROR... not a win, right? He drew it back and one of the Panthers stepped out and got it. Quote
Brawndo Posted April 8, 2018 Author Report Posted April 8, 2018 Risto maybe pinch in to get that puck? Quote
Nitro60 Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Come in, Tokyo. Hope she is compliant. :) Tune in!!! Quote
dudacek Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I feel like Reinhart is similar in that way. Definitely. It’s a weird distinction, but Reinhart can’t make plugs better the way some top forwards can, but he can make good players better. And for some weird reason, I really want Sam to hit 50 tonight. Taro T Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I feel like Reinhart is similar in that way. Reinhart is definitely a guy that doesn't drive an NHL line at present but can complement quality linemates. It'd be awesome if Nylander is in that same-ish mold. Quote
Stoner Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Hope she is compliant. :) Tune in!!! My brother and I have always said Come in, Tokyo while pretending to tune a radio with each hand. Just googled it, and apparently the saying is indeed Tune in. Quote
Taro T Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Last period of Sabres hockey for six months!! :( Good. This has been the most disappointing & therefore frustrating season in team history. Looking forward to 6 months of not having them around. Quote
Stoner Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Almost 300 goals for Vrbata? Surprising. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Nylander isn't slow, but anyone who thinks he's fast is dreaming. ROR and he streaking up the ice, and ROR keeps up just fine despite Nylander pumping his arms and ROR stick-handling. Quote
Taro T Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Almost 300 goals for Vrbata? Surprising. Hasn't he been around almost 20 seasons? 15 gpy * 20 y = 300. ;) Quote
Stoner Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Slow release from Sam there. Hasn't he been around almost 20 seasons?15 gpy * 20 y = 300. ;) He's had 27, 35, 31. Quote
dudacek Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) More faceoffs please. First I’ve ive ever said that. Edited April 8, 2018 by dudacek Quote
Brawndo Posted April 8, 2018 Author Report Posted April 8, 2018 He only needs one more win right? Quote
Taro T Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Slow release from Sam there. He's had 27, 35, 31. Eh, 20 gpy * 15 y = 300. :p More faceoffs please. First I’ve ive ever said that. You've obviously never coached a team that has issues getting the puck out of its own end. ;) Quote
Brawndo Posted April 8, 2018 Author Report Posted April 8, 2018 ROR is now the NHL Record Holder for most faceoff wins in a season Quote
WildCard Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 ROR is now the NHL Record Holder for most faceoff wins in a season Holy , something good actually came out of this season Quote
Taro T Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 ROR is now the NHL Record Holder for most faceoff wins in a season Good for him. Let's hope that next year (presuming he's back) that he doesn't come anywhere close to the record because that'd mean he isn't taking every single important defensive zone &! Late game faceoff - ideally due to a couple of other guys on the team being able to win faceoffs. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Yeah, that honestly just gets me more pissed about ROR's usage. And more specifically, our general line usage. Quote
Darryl Shannon's +/- Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 More importantly, it's attaching value to something that likely doesn't really matter. Yeah, that honestly just gets me more pissed about ROR's usage. And more specifically, our general line usage. Quote
