Randall Flagg Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Okposo, ERod, and Nylander looked great there. All in sync. Nylander's positioning at every step of that shift was perfect. Showed more on this shift than Mitts has in 3 games (not a shot at Mitts) Quote

Randall Flagg Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) He looks far more assertive than in any viewing since the 2017 WJC. I'm not worried about him launching that puck into orbit, if he can get to that position with regularity, when his nerves calm down, he's shown he can roof that easy. The key is getting him there. And I like the Mittelstadt move to wing, C is a bit too much for him right now and he was holding that line back a bit. Let him ride with Jack and open up line 3. I think Pominville's season-long goal is to see how slowly he can push a puck toward the net from the right wall near the blue line without it getting blocked. That was his best one yet. bunomatic Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Holy friggin f&%$! What are those uni's ? I thought it was the Oilers. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Man, Marco has been bad the last 3 or so games. Quote
Mustache of God Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Love seeing RJ with his mom in the booth. How many announcers can get away with that? Quote
Stoner Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 I see they've added a wrinkle to the power play neutral zone drop pass. Oh joy. Love seeing RJ with his mom in the booth. How many announcers can get away with that? Unfortunately his mom passed away a few years ago. This lady is the lady who is always sitting behind the glass. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Kyle "Stone Hands" Okposo I see they've added a wrinkle to the power play neutral zone drop pass. Oh joy. Unfortunately his mom passed away a few years ago. This lady is the lady who is always sitting behind the glass. It's like a tic for these guys. They NEED to go back to behind their own goal line, even if they get the puck with everyone set up and in the NZ. Quote

Stoner Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Isn't there some discretion possible on the too many men call there? Or was that one just a little too egregious? Quote
DarthEbriate Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 It's like a tic for these guys. They NEED to go back to behind their own goal line, even if they get the puck with everyone set up and in the NZ. It was annoying last season to watch Risto routinely kill 15 seconds on the power play behind his net... but then they'd score so it wasn't so bad. Keep killing time, Risto. Quote
Eleven Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Isn't there some discretion possible on the too many men call there? Or was that one just a little too egregious? It wasn't too many men. It was illegal substitution, and I need that explained to me. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 It's embarrassing for phil at this point that he keeps running Pominville out there with Jack. Quote
dudacek Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Gotta say that Nelson, Guhle, Wilson, Mittelstadt, Rodrigues, Baptiste, and Nylander are certainly addressing one of our biggest shortcomings. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) congrats on ROY Antipin Good on him for winning. Bad on the numerous (rookie) forwards who had ample opportunity to crack this weak lineup and put up some points. Edited April 5, 2018 by DarthBerusad Quote
Stoner Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) congrats on ROY Antipin Did they show this? It wasn't too many men. It was illegal substitution, and I need that explained to me. Merely out there too soon (player coming off not within five feet) instead of being "in the play" (touching the puck or checking an opponent)? Edited April 5, 2018 by PASabreFan Quote

Brawndo Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Damn PA-Yes Antipin was named ROY at the Center Quote
WildCard Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 Nylander isn't as fast as I thought he was. Been putting himself in good positions though Quote
DarthEbriate Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 See Ottawa, you don't need Erik Karlsson. You should trade him to the Sabres for Bogosian. Quote
