R_Dudley Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 LMAO, that's some positive sabrespace Gold right there ! Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Beaulieu: Montrewan, when I left you I was but the learner. Now I am the... scratchster. Let's go, Buffalo! Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 You know what? At first (and second and third ...) read I read that as 'Elections ...'. Now on the 5th, or 6th read, I see the error of my ways and it is even funnier. Where is PA? I hope he finds this as amusing as the rest of us. Quote
Stoner Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 At least I'm honest. I'm not trying to pass as SabreSpace's Norman Vincent Peale. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Ok, here's my contribution to getting to four plus pages Let's go Sabres! Quote
Stoner Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Sabres logo Perreault was wearing in that Scars piece looked so odd, like a buffalo ghost trailing a tattered sheet. Looked like a little kid cut it out of some fabric. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 23, 2018 Author Report Posted March 23, 2018 Sabres' lines: Wilson-O'Reilly-Reinhart Girgensons-Eichel-Pominville Nolan-Rodrigues-Baptiste Pouliot-Larsson-Okposo Sabres' defense: Scandella-Ristolainen Guhle-Nelson Gorges-Antipin Quote
nfreeman Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 So is KO now officially a 4th-liner? Quote
Stoner Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 There. Is. No. One. Here. Arena or thread? Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 There. Is. No. One. Here. You never see the Ewoks until it's too late. Sneaky little devils. So is KO now officially a 4th-liner? Sadly, true. I get the desire for balance... but put him with Eichel and someone fast (Bailey/Baptiste-offwing). Quote
Sabel79 Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Nice play by Nelson at the blue line a second ago. Took an extra second/step and put a screen shot on jet as opposed to slamming it into the oncoming forward’s shin pads from four feet away. Quote
Stoner Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Pominville's shot at this stage of his career reminds me of Jim Kelly near the end, just a ton of effort required to get the biscuit away. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Pominville's shot at this stage of his career reminds me of Jim Kelly near the end, just a ton of effort required to get the biscuit away. It's true. It seems like every shot has him ending with his knee on the ice. And when he does have the puck, he always shoots from way out, even if the path to the goal is open and there's no one anywhere close to screening or crashing for a rebound yet. Quote
Stoner Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 I like the Ice Ice Baby sample after Ullmark's save. You could smartly program consistent sounds for every occasion and build a good arena atmosphere. I wonder if Rick remembers a game in the early 80s against Montreal at the Aud when he was sick as a dog. The Sabres were way up after 2 and he went home. Jim Lorentz finished and was fantastic. Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 It's quiet in here, sabres actually owned play thst period, other than a phantom penalty on Kyle O Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Oh man, not much activity here tonight. Nice period. Lack of talent means fewer goals. Jack's line mates are a sad reflection of the talent on this team. Quote
Sabel79 Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 They’re gonna spend all night skating downhill, give up a crap goal that deflects five times, then an empty netter to lose 2-0, aren’t they? Quote
Stoner Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 It's quiet in here, sabres actually owned play thst period, other than a phantom penalty on Kyle O It was a slash, just not much of one. Borderline, even with the league's desire to crack down on it. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 24, 2018 Report Posted March 24, 2018 I remember the days when it wasn't called a slash unless a stick broke.... I miss it Quote
Stoner Posted March 24, 2018 Report Posted March 24, 2018 I remember the days when it wasn't called a slash unless a stick broke.... I miss it I dunno. This is the highest scoring league year since 05-06. I applaud the league. Quote
