bob_sauve28 Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Wow!! We win. Thought it was over when they scored first shoot out goal Quote
WanderingEye Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Isn't Josefson one of those grinders who doesn't score a lot but is somehow a beast in the shooutout? Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Hey! Remember this offseason when one of the perks of getting Josefson was that he was good in shootouts? (I didn't. But now I think I remember that tidbit.) Quote
bunomatic Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Wow. I have to give Lehner credit lord knows I bitch enough when he loses. He did get some goals from his boys which helped but he made some saves. Quote

miles Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 im going to say there is less than a 1% chance that lehner doesnt blow this what in sam hills name is going on in the world. the sabres won a shoot out? Quote

Stoner Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 The girl got Risto's stick. The boyfriend was like, yeahhhh, finally. Quote
dudacek Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Gotta happy for Lehner. That had to have been a huge burden. Sam Reinhart is a stud. Quote
dudacek Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Nice to see them shake off that stinker the next night and on the road. 11-9-2 since the Dallas debacle. Two stinkers (Calgary and Washington, some would add Florida) Five big wins against Tampa, Toronto and Boston. 61 for, 58 against. Sam Reinhart, 22 points in those 22 games. Also 6-6-1 without Jack. darksabre Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 This game was a perfect example of what I was saying about this team's struggles being a personnel issue, not a coaching issue. You need your best players to show up and play like they're your best players. Reinhart showed up. He dug deep and figured it out tonight and it turned the whole game around. They can do it. They just have to take care of their individual games. Quote
Doohicksie Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Guhle has been shakey, but did you see the way he joined the rush? Kid such a good skater He's gonna be incredible. That said, whether we're good or bad, or Ottawa is good or bad, these are usually close, hard fought games, so I'm looking forward to this. ...and there ya go. Called it. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Is everyone happy that we won, and only picked up a point on Ottawa? Quote

They were outshoot out chanced and out played just about everywhere on the ice. Quote
dudacek Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Risto is 5-17-22 in 30 games since the new year. And for Pi, a -5. Quote
pi2000 Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 (edited) Risto is 5-17-22 in 30 games since the new year. And for Pi, a -5. Sure, he's a -14 on the year, but has a TRpm of +9 so he's actually playing pretty well. Scandella is a +1 with a TRpm of +21... he's been outstanding. Remember, on a bad team a TRpm of 0 or close to 0 is bad, it means you're contributing your fair share to the poor performance. A positive TRpm on a bad team means that in general you're helping, not hurting... and a negative TRpm on a bad team means you're an anchor severely weighing the team down. Larsson: -7 Okposo: -14 Beaulieu: -7 Pominville: 0 O'Reilly: +10 Reinhart: +7 Kane: +3 Girgensons: +4 Eichel: +1 McDavid: +26 Matthews: +17 Edited March 9, 2018 by pi2000 Quote
MODO Hockey Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Yay, a win! we dont see that very often :D whoohoo Quote
thewookie1 Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Just to give an idea of how far ahead Eichel was in points, he still leads the team with 53 pts in 55 games O'Reilly just entered the 50 pts mark at 67 games. Kane left the team with 40 pts Reinhart and Okposo are at 38 which is a miracle seeing how bad their starts were. Quote
inkman Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 O'Regan looks to be slow of foot Which is weird as he was billed just the opposite Quote
jsb Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 (edited) Which is weird as he was billed just the opposite I wouldn't say he was slow afoot but he was slow processing the play, he looked like a guy who didn't know the playbook. I'm also hoping for the best in regards to K.Okposo.... Edited March 9, 2018 by jsb Quote
