Bumper to bumper the 33 can hold up to 10,000 cars alone. Im sure one our analytics experts can write an equation showing how many cars going roughly 30 miles per hour along an 8.6 mile stretch of highway for about one hour and fifteen minutes would equal to. Expand Right, and keep in mind that just like a football game, people are coming and going during roughly a 2.5-3 hour period in the mornings and evenings. Some people get to work at 9am; some people get to the game at 1130 am. Some people get to work at 730 am; some people get to the game at 9am to tailgate. Etc. Quote

Probably make a stop for the casino and the stadium or a combined stop for them. There is enough land and they could use existing sabres lots and ramps plus whatever they build for the stadium. They will then fix infrastructure to get you out and onto the 190 or up to the 33. It will probably flow better than Orchard Park. This is my opinion of what they will do. Blue is the train line. Red is the rough outline of a stadium (65K people), the purple with lines is the new area to get on and off the 190. The other purple is new parking lots. I think roughly that is what they will do depending on how many of the businesses they can move out they may do more. I tried to estimate the size of the stadium to the scale of the current building. 2 Quote

Expand The Pegulas (through 3rd parties/ shell corporations) have bought a lot of land in the city. The new stadium will be built there. Want to say it was around the Perry Projects is where they were buying the land, but don't recall exactly where they were buying up land. Just know it was NOT at Cobblestone. Let's assume 85% of Buffalo's commuter jobs are in the downtown area since that's easily the most job dense part of the city, and then let's assume that (based on the data) 85% of those 90% of commuters are driving alone in a car, you're looking at about 30,000 people going straight into the downtown part of the city every day by themselves in a car. In a metro population of 1.1M, I don't see how 40,000 driving in and out of the financial and governmental center of that metro area is difficult to believe. At all. 2 Quote

That said, Eleven's point about the difference being a net + means that the total of people is likely much higher, and therefore the number of cars as well. 40k cars looks reasonable. Quote
