WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 It's almost like Kane isn't that valuable. He's better than all 3 of those players I listed
nfreeman Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 The 1st-rounder being in 2019 kinda stinks, esp. if it's lottery-protected.
darksabre Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 He's better than all 3 of those players I listed It would appear that NHL GM's don't agree with you.
CallawaySabres Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 it's something....but certainly nothing that will make this team any better next year. Can't wait to see who the QB is in Buffalo as the Sabres still have quite a ways to go before sniffing 8th.
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) Until the final details call me out, this deal looks like a fail. The prospect is a JAG. I’d rather have a 2nd in 2018 then a 1st in 2019. Edited February 26, 2018 by GASabresIUFAN
WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Not overwhelmed, but ORegan did but up great numbers in the AHL last year. He's a throwaway prospect for the Sharks. They couldn't give two shits if where this kid goes
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 How much you wanna bet that Kane signs with the Sabres on July 1, 2018?
dudacek Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Won’t replace Kane now or in the future with this deal.
Brawndo Posted February 26, 2018 Author Report Posted February 26, 2018 Why? He got a first back for Kane, something which a lot of people doubted. That first is a trade chip this offseason
Mustache of God Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 the 2019 pick makes this completely underwhelming. This brings back nothing to the team for how many years? Woof.
PerreaultForever Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Can't say Dan O'Regan has me excited. https://www.nhl.com/player/daniel-o-regan-8476982
WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 The 1st-rounder being in 2019 kinda stinks, esp. if it's lottery-protected. Jesus, kill me now It would appear that NHL GM's don't agree with you. Or our GM messed up. Color me surprised that a rookie Buffalo GM got schooled at a trade deadline
sabills Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 How do the Bruins get so much for Nash and we get this? Nash has time left on his contract, Kaner is a rental.
WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 How much you wanna bet that Kane signs with the Sabres on July 1, 2018? Literally everything I own
bcsaberks Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) Not overwhelmed, but ORegan did but up great numbers in the AHL last year. 25 pts in 31 games this year. (AHL) Edited February 26, 2018 by bcsaberks
Rasmus_ Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 As if the Sharks are lottery bound. We got a 1st, an asset (O'Regan) and a conditional asset (4th).
That Aud Smell Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 O'Reagan sounds like he could be a quality depth addition. ROY in the AHL?
WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 He got a first back for Kane, something which a lot of people doubted. That first is a trade chip this offseason The 1st has been almost a guarantee since day 1 of the Kane trade rumors 25 pts in 31 games this year. He's 24, he should be putting up those numbers
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Literally everything I own Well, then be prepared to have absolutely nothing.
LTS Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Nash has time left on his contract, Kaner is a rental. Nope.. that's not it. Nash is UFA.
dudacek Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 ORegan don’t look much different than Scott Wilson or CJ Smith to me. He was on the BU line with Jack and Evan, right?
3putt Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Botts got played. Ticking clock and he blinked. a 2019 lottery protected pick sux. 2020 pick? two years away? Terrible deal.
nucci Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Nash has time left on his contract, Kaner is a rental. No, he doesn't
SDS Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 A player is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them (or accept in contract). Fans can bemoan all day long that Kane is worth more, but 29 other GMs had their opportunity to pay more and decided to pass. Those are the only opinions that ultimately count.
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 ORegan don’t look much different than Scott Wilson or CJ Smith to me. He was on the BU line with Jack and Evan, right? Yep.
