dudacek Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 (edited) San Jose cleared Tons of cap space to take a run at Thornton and Marleaus replacements this summer. Kane is a likely target and the chance to test drive each other is probably why they agreed to the conditional first. And Pi, well done.???????? Edited February 28, 2018 by Mick O’Manly
inkman Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 both named Daniel, both 5'10 180lbs Daniel O'Regan, born in Berlin, Germany was drafted in 2012. Guess who was the leading point producer for the Berlin Polar Bears in 2012? Daniel Briere
WildCard Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 1.it is incredible, buy Kane’s Rep. proceeded him whether it was deserved or not. There were issues in the Winnipeg Locker Room during his time there and the Sabres Room Dysfunction is well documented and GMs were afraid to disrupt their chemistry. Burns, Thornton and Pavelski are a strong enough leadership group to absorb him. 2, They did, win the Cup and the Pick is a first. 3. Neither are the 30 other teams, but McKenzie and LeBrun have mentioned there is interest by Sharks in extending him. 4. McKenzie mentioned SJ as a landing spot for Kane in UFA about two months ago well before the trade.
That Aud Smell Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 Though Briere wasn't established in the NHL when the Sabres traded for him, he had already demonstrated a proficiency on the PP at the NHL level. He was FAR more an established player than O'Regan is. Please. No sober commentary on pi’s take on the Daniels of the West.
Stoner Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 Mr. Botterill, tear down this team. (Sorry, our new Daniel's last name takes me back every time.)

SwampD Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 When was there ever "well documented looker room dysfunction" with Kane? I honestly don't remember.
Weave Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 When was there ever "well documented looker room dysfunction" with Kane? I honestly don't remember. Winnipeg, I suppose. If you can believe ButtUgly. Not in Buffalo at all that I recall. Never heard a whiff of it in Atlanta either.
Huckleberry Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 GM eichel must be happy, his favourite #9 just opened up :p
3putt Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 (edited) I thought his favorite number was 11. I say let him have it. Gilbert would approve. Edited February 28, 2018 by 3putt
Taro T Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 I thought his favorite number was 11. I say let him have it. Gilbert would approve. Can't. Tavares is going to want it as a tribute to his uncle. ;)
WildCard Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 When was there ever "well documented looker room dysfunction" with Kane? I honestly don't remember. Little stuff here and there with the Sabres. His taking the younger guys out to party, a few posters on here saying they knew players in real life who would go to the bars in cliques, our locker room issues in general, him missing practice to go to an NBA game, Harrington's report about Botterill saying Kane was last on first off the ice, and just all of his Winnipeg issues in general
3putt Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 Can't. Tavares is going to want it as a tribute to his uncle. ;) Makes sense. So 119 it is.
Ho-Chi-Sock Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 Kane says goodbye until we meet again. Pretty classy IMO: https://twitter.com/evanderkane_9/status/968251550564077571

Just like I remembered. Oh wait, he did all that while being black. Teehee.
Brawndo Posted February 28, 2018 Author Report Posted February 28, 2018 I was referring to the whole locker room and how the cliques had formed. Younger guys not listening to Vets such as Gorges and Gionta. The team not executing Housley’s System. Hamilton, Harrington and Vogl all reported on it. Another organization would take a look at how things supposedly ended in The Peg and that The Sabres had trouble in their room and would attempt to add two and two together. Kane most likely had minimal contribution to the locker room problems, but other GMs did not want to find out by spending assets to bring him into their organizations.
North Buffalo Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 2 assists tonight and wtf he is passing... So its time to get rid of the problems...or get a new hard nose coach...
erickompositör72 Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 2 assists tonight and wtf he is passing... So its time to get rid of the problems...or get a new hard nose coach... maybe our west coast scouts can go watch him and report back to Wowie and GMBot about how to use him effectively, then we can re-sign him?
North Buffalo Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 not Kane, Sharks have a heckuv a lot more talent... especially on D. Guess he didnt have anyone to pass to other than Jack and no one else who can keep up. Sharks have multiple lines with speed a dangle.
PerreaultForever Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 or he is just smart enough to know that he was not wanted by most and if he wants a payday he has to give it maximum effort the rest of this year while he is under the spotlight. Judge him on how he plays NEXT season for whoever signs him, especially if it's long term.
Weave Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 2 assists tonight and wtf he is passing... So its time to get rid of the problems...or get a new hard nose coach... Never bought into the idea that he couldn't work with good linemates.
North Buffalo Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 yeh well news flash, he can... that means Sam and Jack have some growing up to do, the rest suck.
darksabre Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 2 assists tonight and wtf he is passing... So its time to get rid of the problems...or get a new hard nose coach... It's like the new guy on a team has never had an amazing first game before ever. I hope San Jose is a good fit for him. They're a better team overall and maybe he even has some natural chemistry. But let's see what things look like in 10 games or so.
Huckleberry Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 So, nothing, then? Just like I remembered. Oh wait, he did all that while being black. Teehee. I don't consider skipping practice for an NBA game nothing, If I told my boss I'm not working today to go see a football game in another city....
