That Aud Smell Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 So if San Jose were to somehow free-fall into the lottery, then what?

sabills Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 So if San Jose were to somehow free-fall into the lottery, then what? I'm betting that's one of the conditions.
woods-racer Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 It's a move that absolutely no one saw coming. Come on now, who would have seen San Jose as dealing for Kane? I believe I'm starting to understand trolling, it's like sarcasm, only better.
apuszczalowski Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Conditions will be on lottery and maybe how far they go in the playoffs. Won't be on re-signing as SJ appears to be saying that Kane is only a rental and won't be signing an extension
That Aud Smell Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Danny O Reagan is the prospect Another Terrier.
dudacek Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) 2019 pick the first Edited February 26, 2018 by Mick O’Manly
Taro T Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Pierre LeBrun Verified account @PierreVLeBrun 27s27 seconds ago More More details on Evander Kane trade, Sabres get 2019 conditional first-round pick, Dan O'Reagan and a 2020 4th Rd pick 2019 conditional 1st & 2020 conditional 4th? Thought those would've been '18 &'19 respectively.
nucci Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Why? Exactly, how does this make the team better?
sabills Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Just noticed its a 2019 first as well. Wonder if its lotto protected.
WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Meh. Nothing special. After seeing what Nash, Hartman, and Statsny got, this is a massive disappointment. Nothing special doesn't even begin to cover it
nfreeman Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Here's O'Regan's page from eliteprospects: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=121936 - Irish name but born in Germany - Just turned 24; 5'10", 176 - Played with Eichel at BU - Played 4 seasons at BU, then last 2 mostly in the A - Pretty good stats in the A
WildCard Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Exactly, how does this make the team better? It doesn't. O'Reagan appears to be a 3rd line center at best
darksabre Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 After seeing what Nash, Hartman, and Statsny got, this is a massive disappointment. Nothing special doesn't even begin to cover it It's almost like Kane isn't that valuable.
nucci Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 How do the Bruins get so much for Nash and we get this?
dudacek Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Not overwhelmed, but ORegan did but up great numbers in the AHL last year.
apuszczalowski Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 So if San Jose were to somehow free-fall into the lottery, then what?Sabres most likely get their 1st the year after without protection. Seems to be how it's been done in the past
nucci Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) It doesn't. O'Reagan appears to be a 3rd line center at best what an awful trade. Doesn't help rebuild the team at all Edited February 26, 2018 by nucci

Rasmus_ Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 O'Regan has looked very competent in the AHL, and skates fairly well. He was one of the talents on the slim side that I liked. The non Meier youth.
