Joking aside, would you want his recovery to stretch into October just for the sake of making him finish the season? Getting it done now is likely the best move for Jake anyway. Quote

Good question, and no I wouldn't. I guess it just feels like they've assessed matters and with Eichel gone and a few awful losses recently, they've decided to protect the asset they have in McCabe and don't mind at all if it solidifies their lottery position.
