Brawndo Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: Probably best to just shut him down for the year. I don't see a point in bringing him back for 5 games or whatever it would be at the end. Yep Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Better than a knee. Still . you hockey gods, you Boston, . Keep up the good work Sabres, please. Don't let this deflate you like it did last year. Unfortunately, my interest in even thinking about this team has completely disappeared. Quote
Drunkard Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Time for Reinhart to get another shot at center with better wingers. Maybe his new found confidence will allow him to step up this time around. Quote
Robviously Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Another high ankle sprain, this time on the other leg. We'll see him in late March at the earliest, but very easily he's out for the rest of the season. I am NOT saying he's injury prone, but he definitely could beneift from more focused leg strengthening rehab between now and October.I was wondering if it was the same leg. Happy that it's not a recurring injury on the same leg. Quote
nucci Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Team starting to play better...Eichel hurt and Kane will be traded...Great. Quote
dudacek Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I don’t see any positives or silver linings to this at all. Quote
2 minuter för grovbearbetn Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I don’t see any positives or silver linings to this at all. Best I got: torn knee ligaments are cumulative. As far as I know, high ankle sprains are not. Quote
Formerly Allan in MD Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 High sprains can be very tricky. May be best to shut him down for the season. I don't think it'll negatively impact our rush to the playoffs. Quote
Stoner Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 It does add to the sense that the franchise was built over an ancient Indian burial ground. Quote
dudacek Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 The last 30 games needed to be like the past 10 - proof that playing Phil’s way is putting them on the right path. It’s going to be very hard to win games without the player contributing the highest percentage of offence to his team in the entire NHL. A real morale-buster. Quote
spndnchz Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 It does add to the sense that the franchise was built over an ancient Indian burial ground. Bruins home game dude. Quote
SarasotaSabre Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Best I got: torn knee ligaments are cumulative. As far as I know, high ankle sprains are not. just curious, what do you mean by "cumulative" in the context of torn knee ligaments? Quote
dejeanerret Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I was just looking at his stats a few days back saying how he's about to break out and reach career highs for goals and assists after missing games last year thinking to myself "imagine if he got hurt and was lost to the season now?" Unbelievable. The guy can't catch a break. Quote
2 minuter för grovbearbetn Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 just curious, what do you mean by "cumulative" in the context of torn knee ligaments? Last I knew you can only scope a knee so many times. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I don’t see any positives or silver linings to this at all. Well, it helps me beat my sister in fantasy this week. *ducks* Quote
Stoner Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Bruins home game dude. I am aware. That's why I put franchise in there. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 It does add to the sense that the franchise was built over an ancient Indian burial ground. :flirt: Cool. I've always wanted to tour the sub-continent. RACIST!! ;) Quote
bunomatic Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Is there a silver lining ? Its not a knee its an ankle. He could be done for the season. He could be back. Hopefully they're being overly cautious and it'll play out that its not as serious. Not sure how to take this. Remove the engine from your car it don't run too good. Stallin for Dahlin. Quote
Thorner Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I don’t see any positives or silver linings to this at all. There are none. Our franchise player has now suffered major injuries in 2 of his first 3 seasons, damaging not one, but both of his ankles. Which he uses to skate, of course. It’s completely terrible. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Housley says there’s a possibility Eichel returns sooner than not. Early timeline is 4-6 weeks #Sabres Per Yerdon Quote
Thorner Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Housley says there’s a possibility Eichel returns sooner than not. Early timeline is 4-6 weeks #Sabres Per Yerdon Same timeline as last time. Missed 21 games, there’s 27 left in the season. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 “We’ve got a lot to prove this season.” Housley says to @ByMHarrington’s question about why not shutting down Eichel for the season Quote
Crusader1969 Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I don’t see any positives or silver linings to this at all. Isn't coming in last and guaranteeing you one of the big 4 draft picks, provIding Jack help next season, not at least a sliver of positive? Still sucks though, watching him play made the games at least bearable. Now.... just get me to the lottery. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 Tome for O'Reilly to make his mark. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 It will be interesting to see how the point projections change with Eichel out. Quote
