Randall Flagg Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Good points. It's upsetting because this was really the only asset we had to kick off a fast rebuild, and now we have nothing to start with. We pretty much have to be perfect in the draft, and can't afford Nylander, Mittelstadt, or Guhle not panning out. We have a bare cupboard and came home from the store with a head of lettuce Kane was never in any universe going to help us kick off a fast rebuild, IMO. He was only going to be a final so-long to the last failed attempt. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 26, 2018 Author Report Posted February 26, 2018 So Stalin for Dahlin and now definetly Gold and Blue for Hughes... We paid our dues for Jack Hughes Quote
Trettioåtta Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Sabres are drafting 6th this year. Calling it now. Quote

Brawndo Posted February 26, 2018 Author Report Posted February 26, 2018 Per McKenzie I’m hearing TB sending to NYR: Libor Hajek, Brett Holden, Vladislav Nemestnikov, 2018 1st round pick, conditional second round pick. Confirmation to follow. Quote
Taro T Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Appaerently Reilly went from Minny to Moe-ray-all for a 5th. Quote

Brawndo Posted February 26, 2018 Author Report Posted February 26, 2018 And the Sabres are done for today Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 I like NJ getting Maroon for a 3rd. Shero’s doing a great job there. Quote
darksabre Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 For McDonagh and Miller? Wow. nice work Stevie Y Nemestnikov is a nice pickup for the Rangers. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) And the Sabres are done for today Just for today? Maybe forever! Sorry Jack. Edited February 26, 2018 by GASabresIUFAN Quote
PerreaultForever Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 I like NJ getting Maroon for a 3rd. Shero’s doing a great job there. Ya, Chiarelli might be an even worse GM than Botterill. Yzerman is a surprisingly brilliant GM. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Appaerently Reilly went from Minny to Moe-ray-all for a 5th. Apparently we don’t need D here. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 26, 2018 Author Report Posted February 26, 2018 Draft picks in NYR/TB deal. There is a first in 2018 and a second-rounder that becomes a first if TB wins the Stanley Cup this year or next Per Friedman Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 For McDonagh and Miller? Wow. nice work Stevie Y It's obvious that they are going all in this year and that means you pay a lot. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Steve Yzerman is incredible. Quote
Taro T Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Apparently we don’t need D here. At that price, surprised he didn't end up in Buffalo w/ the rumor that Botterill was kicking the tires. Would rather they extend Antipin next year than bring in Reilly if it was an either/or scenario. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Christ. Just cancel the rest of the season and give them the cup. This is what I feel. JT Miller is such a tantalizing player. If we were anywhere close to the playoffs he'd be someone I'd want to invest in. Quote
Taro T Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Steve Yzerman is incredible. Yep. Thought he'd be another Gretzky or Esposito. Totally missed on that call. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Steve Yzerman is incredible. He is just willing and able to go for it. Quote
darksabre Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 He is just willing and able to go for it. It helps to be dealing from a position of strength. Tampa has been good to great for a while now and I think that makes a difference. A good team is inherently made of players other teams are more willing to acquire in trade, and so they do. Quote
