SwampD Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Wow. The Devils have only won twice since our last meeting (2-8-2). I guess losing to us really took the starch out of them. Let's do it again!!!! Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 What a strange season. All these late games, week long breaks and we suck...well, until now Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Finally. Seems like the Sabres just had a break before this break. A chance to show what they have at home. Lehner better be in net tonight. NJ are in a funk. Time for the Sabres to Funk Out ... :flirt: GO SABRES!! Quote

WildCard Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Pleased to see Kane stapled to the 3rd line. We've been saying it for years now that that's where he belongs And people wanna pay $7M for this guy... Quote

woods-racer Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Actually excited for this game They're doing it to me too. And I know better is what really bothers me. Quote
inkman Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Pleased to see Kane stapled to the 3rd line. Except the Sabres have given no indication that he'll re-sign so why aren't they putting him with Jack or ROR to pump up his value prior to the deadline. Sometimes I wonder if they have any plan at all. Quote

inkman Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 I expect the value is already set. Possibly. It just seems weird to figure it out half way through the season at the exact moment when they should be pumping his tires. Quote
LGR4GM Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Except the Sabres have given no indication that he'll re-sign so why aren't they putting him with Jack or ROR to pump up his value prior to the deadline. Sometimes I wonder if they have any plan at all. Because he's been coasting for weeks and Housley wants to win hockey games. If Evander Kane gettng an extra 5-6points before the deadline really moves the needle for a team, that teams GM is guilty of recency bias. There are 14 games before the deadline. You figure on average Kane should put up 9 points. If you put him with Eichel he might get what? 12-15 points. That said I believe Evander has something like 3 points in his last 13 games. Here is a fun stat about Jack from a little while ago Buffalo Sabres Stats @SabresStats Jan 16More Removing Empty Netters affected Eichel both positively and negatively (circle moved down and to the left). He has been on the ice for 7 #Sabres empty netters and 12 empty netters against BUF. Quote
