Yet another reason why I think it was a big mistake not bringing back Gionta.

He signed a PTO in Roch, he’s going to play Friday as a warm up before the Olympics.

Why?

Needs time to adjust to North American Ice.

Also despite his four years of Pro Hockey, I expect Botterill to follow his preferred development path with players and have them start in the AHL.

Plus Kris Baker of Sabres Prospects who watches more of his games then anyone has tweeted out that he is not ready for the Sabres and would start in Rochester

Eh I think there is a reason he's not in the NHL right now.

Gionta, yes.

A contract in Sweden, which end this off-season.

Olofsson, yes. He had this year left on his contract.

Yeah, good for him, but I mean the Sabres should have signed him to play in Buffalo this season.

I wonder if he also took a hit for the lockeroom becoming a mess at the end of last year with him being the captain of the ship. They may have also moved on because of the addition of Pommy.

Yes to both.

Yeah I was going to clarify that GA was referencing the Swede while I was discussing Gionta but it didn't seem worth the time.
