Stoner Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 I was going to put this in the GDT but think it deserves its own thread. The Sabres playing keepaway for a full minute with a late two-goal lead and a delayed penalty coming on the Canucks was a quite a moment in recent Sabres history. A team that couldn't find its ass with both hands all season suddenly did the most.... amazing?... yes, the most amazing thing. It was almost like watching a butterfly emerge from a caterpillar cocoon. Was this the berth of a hockey team? Am I crazy? (And it ended in the funniest way, with Falk throwing the puck into the bench I believe, as if he were too nervous to fart around with the puck with the net empty — and Rob cracked up about it too.) There are no videos of the sequence that I could find. Which is too bad, because at that hour a lot of fans missed it. Did it remind anyone else of this? Quote
dudacek Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 It was one of the most entertaining sequences I’ve seen in years. It showed skill, confidence, intelligence and teamwork. It was the work of a team fully in control. It’s been so long since the Sabres have shown that. Quote
LTS Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 Sigh.. if MSG and the NHL both didn't require Flash Player I would get you an excerpt of the keep away game. But they both require the use of that crappy technology so I can't. Quote
LTS Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) Screw it.. it seemed too awesome not to do. Just for you PA. Edited January 26, 2018 by LTS Quote

Winston Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 Screw it.. it seemed too awesome not to do. Just for you PA. What do you use to capture the video? I tried to put a video up this morning for PA (and the masses that deserve to see this!) but it came out choppy. I record screen shares on Zoom for work, so I played back the game and recorded my screen that way. But it wasn't nearly good enough to share. Quote
Derrico Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 I read about it in the GDT. Then another thread. I'm so glad someone could find that video. Way to late for me to stay up but what a sequence that was!! Quote

I have the full Director Suite. I need to update my computer to be able to do better editing but I was able to knock that one out today with only a little hassle. Quote
Stoner Posted January 26, 2018 Author Report Posted January 26, 2018 Thanks, LTS! I've been waiting all afternoon to watch this. Worth the wait. Quote
