bunomatic
C'mon, bun, seriously? This team has exactly 14 wins in 49 tries. IF the coaching staff has spent as much as 5 minutes imparting a strategy for delaying the game on a late 3rd period delayed penalty w/ a 2+ goal lead, then every single member of the staff deserves to be flogged & THEN fired. :P Duh. Yeah I suppose.
Stoner
The interesting thing about that sequence is the risk-reward element of it. What are the chances of putting the biscuit in your own basket. (ink, that's your cue...)

Randall Flagg
I'm almost positive that an own goal would not count. I think during the second tank season Tampa scored on themselves when we played them, in this scenario. It was a missed pass back to the point. I'm also pretty sure it was our only goal in the game. I might have the season wrong but it was within the last 5 years. Edit: I was wrong about both. It was actually a big goal, and was during the first tank season. rakish
10 minutes of own goals, sometimes the defenseman puts it in by mistake, but sometimes it's empty net
SwampD
Well, what do you know about that. Here's a question. If that happened this year and one of Tampa's coaches noticed they were offside entering the zone, could they challenge?
Doohicksie
It would have to be a Buffalo player offside on the entry into the TB zone, so.... no. (You can only question the most recent zone entry prior to the goal; you can't go back further.)

Doohicksie
10 minutes of own goals, sometimes the defenseman puts it in by mistake, but sometimes it's empty net 2 minutes in: an own goal during playoff overtime!
Taro T
It would totally count. Correct. That's how Billy Smith became the 1st NHL goalie to "score" a goal. Yes, Colorado was THAT bad.
