Thorner Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Sexton and Taylor sure come across well in interviews. As soon as I see “Sexton” I get all excited for some reason. Quote
Two or less Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Haven’t ruled out a possibility of Gionta joining the organization, stating the door may be open. Enjoys the effect he has on the team. I'm assuming this means Rochester for a Calder Cup run, but Gionta was on this morning on the Stellick and Simmer show and said after the Olympics he would love to return to the NHL but he would only do it with a Cup contender. I'm guessing if no NHL teams call, this means Amerks door would be open. Quote

inkman Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 There's an ESPN Rochester? 950 am or 95.7 fm. Good station, mostly national stuff outside of 3-7pm and Amerks. Quote

I thought it sorta sounded like a eulogy re Gionta. And paired with the comment about "special chemistry" they currently have with this group I don't think he's back. If he lights up the olympics maybe, but if he looks old and slow, no thanks. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Do you think there's a chance they might bring Gionta in as something other than a player? Quote
LGR4GM Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Very good listen. His story about Ullmark after winning a game but losing the shutout is exactly the positive attitude we need in Buffalo. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Ullmark is The One, isn't he? The next Miller. Maybe even the next Hasek. (Please....!) Quote
LGR4GM Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Ullmark is The One, isn't he? The next Miller. Maybe even the next Hasek. (Please....!) I don't think he's Miller. His attitude is very different. I hope he is good but that's hard to guess at right now. Quote
inkman Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Ullmark is The One, isn't he? The next Miller. Maybe even the next Hasek. (Please....!) Talk about setting the bar a little high. You are comparing our AHL goalie prospect the the greatest goalie ever. Like comparing Guhle to Bobby Orr. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 That's the kind of pathetic fan I am. Quote
