dudacek Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 The Eichel line is playing the game I pictured a Housley team playing. Quote
Brawndo Posted January 23, 2018 Author Report Posted January 23, 2018 And Eichel, by then out of the league and a postal worker, walked into the room... Everyone is seeing it differently, but I saw a cheap punch to the side of Beaulieu's face as he was going down. He was and he was stunned by it. He didn’t attempt to brace his fall with his hands prior to his head hitting the ice Quote

Like I'd said, only watched it once, will probably check it out again tomorrow & opinion could change upon further review. But on a different note: like that Housley chewing them out has them playing hockey tonight. When they need that, he needs to do it more often. They don't need a buddy; they need a coach. Quote
Stoner Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 What a nifty play by Eichel behind the net to set up a wraparound try for himself. Quote
Taro T Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 He was and he was stunned by it. He didn’t attempt to brace his fall with his hands prior to his head hitting the ice And, it seemed he was already stunned before that punch. He looked wobbly skating at the Calgary player. Quote
Stoner Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I really wanted Jack to reach back and snap that puck home. Quote
Brawndo Posted January 23, 2018 Author Report Posted January 23, 2018 They Look Like A Real Team Tonight Quote
Samson's Flow Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 That first PP unit almost looked like the top unit from a year ago. Lots of chances generated Quote
Tondas Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Kane not looking very interested tonight. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Our power play moves the puck better than most units in the NHL. Gotta get the finishing mojo back. Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 And Eichel, by then out of the league and a postal worker, walked into the room... Everyone is seeing it differently, but I saw a cheap punch to the side of Beaulieu's face as he was going down. Not one, but two cheap shots to the side of the face on his way down. Quote
dudacek Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Yep, PP is nearly there. And Kane is nearly gone. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Our power play moves the puck better than most units in the NHL. Gotta get the finishing mojo back.We need more than Eichel as a finisher. All those prime chances for Okposo are being squandered Quote
Taro T Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 They Look Like A Real Team Tonight They do. Hopefully they pull this out in the 3rd & have something to build on. Kane not looking very interested tonight. Really don't think he wants to get traded, but knows it's coming. Hard to not be disinterested when you know your days are numbered. Quote
grinreaper Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Kane not looking very interested tonight. I don't think he wants to end up in Calgary. Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Our power play moves the puck better than most units in the NHL. Gotta get the finishing mojo back. Basically looked like a 5 on 3 the way they possessed the puck and passed it. Unfortunately Okposo missed the net twice on point blank slappers, then gave the puck away. Quote
Taro T Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Our power play moves the puck better than most units in the NHL. Gotta get the finishing mojo back. They have been moving it well & doing better at getting it in the zone as well (though still not as well as last season). Keep doing both of those well & the shooting percentage will go up. Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 They do. Hopefully they pull this out in the 3rd & have something to build off of Yeah, haven't heard this four or five times after a good effort yet this year. Quote
Stoner Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I wouldn't have expected the city of Calgary to be that big. Quote
Two or less Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Kyle came to play. Again. Yeah, and great observation by Biron in the intermission about him holding onto the puck too long before he shoots. There was a few times he did that on Saturday, too. Very frustrating to watch, i wonder what the issue is with the delayed timing for him. Beyond that, i think he's been fantastic last several games. Quote
Stoner Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Girgensons with the smelling salts oh jeez. Rasmus is such a tease. Puck off the ref's skate and Calgary doesn't score. Maybe this is our night. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Nolan, McCabe, and Nelson are literally the three Sabres I would least-like to have on a 3 on 1 rush. Wouldn't switch a single player out. Quote
dudacek Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Why is it always Nolan who gets the odd man rushes? Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 The worst 3-on-1 I've ever seen. Quote
