French Collection Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 They worked hard and beat a good team. Jack wanted this badly and Risto was solid with the added ice time. Sam was knocked around but had some good moments. Johnson was solid. Nelson looked liked an AHLer, Baptiste like a 4th line NHLer. Larry has no speed and no hands. Gus is a 4th liner. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 We have to see Antipin tomorrow if Gorges is still sick, right? Or does Phil elect to play with 5 D? Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 We have to see Antipin tomorrow if Gorges is still sick, right? Or does Phil elect to play with 5 D? 5 D, without question. I honestly think Housley would come out of retirement before playing Antipin again. Quote
dudacek Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 10 points in his last 10 games for Risto. 10 points over the last 6 for Jack. Risto was very good tonight. Really, Jack, Risto, Sam, Kyle and Ryan - 5/7 of Murray’s core - wanted to make a difference. Credit Housley with using that Dallas mess. Quote

3putt Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Having Baptiste add a little speed to the bottom lines kept the flames off balance. More speed please. And the kid flipping off Eichel after he scored was classic! Jack skated right up to the glass where he was. Quote

And the kid flipping off Eichel after he scored was classic! Jack skated right up to the glass where he was. The problem with the Amerks prospect call-ups is that they come in hot and can't maintain the consistency. Bailey and Fasching earlier this year too had very impressive/energetic games right after a call-up and straight to invisible after, as Baptiste has had in his past too. We'll see if he's finally learned he needs to play like every night if he wants to stay. His 4 SOG was a career high. Quote
Huckleberry Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Good for johnson to finally have a solid game. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Good game. Full 60 Ochocinco’s best game of the season. Might be his first good one, but still... And Jack doing what leaders do. Jack with the shot from his point of attack. Such a sniper. I have to say that Johnson was a delight tonight. The defense played fairly well in front of him as well. Good little shot from Wilson in the first. This was a solid win to build from. The problem with Baptiste is that he wasn't really lighting the world on fire and needed to be given something different. There really wasn't any point of having him down anymore. If we can keep Baptiste up and get rid of JORDAN NOLAN who cannot skate or do much of anything, please go ahead and move on. I really thought you were starting a joke: Nolan, McCabe and Nelson go in on a 3 on 1 break,,,,, (sort of in the a Priest, a Rabbi and an athiest walk into a bar). I chuckled at this. Seriously, Nolan has the foot speed of Derian Hatcher. What was he doing outside of making the entry pass. :P Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 What a pleasant surprise to wake up to. And in OT to boot. Jack is becoming a real player in this league. He will be top 5 for his entire career. Quote

Sam was knocked around but had some good moments. Johnson was solid. Nelson looked liked an AHLer, Baptiste like a 4th line NHLer. Larry has no speed and no hands. Gus is a 4th liner. I actually thought Nelson looked much improved from his previous outing. Still not the best, but he didn't embarrass himself. The problem with the Amerks prospect call-ups is that they come in hot and can't maintain the consistency. We'll see if he's finally learned he needs to play like every night if he wants to stay. His 4 SOG was a career high. I think when they come up as a group they'll be fine. They need to overwhelm the current underachievers with their energy. That will expose the underachievers and they will either learn to keep up or be moved. Jack with the shot from his point of attack. Such a sniper. I saw it differently. How many times did he attempt that shot all night long and miss, miss, miss? I'm glad he scored, but I'd describe him as the blind squirrel that finds a nut once in a while and not a sniper. (I wonder what percentage of one-timers from the half wall during a PP Ovie puts on goal versus missing? Maybe that's just the way that play works- literally hit or miss. But it seems like Jack is missing that shot a lot.) Quote

LGR4GM Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Did she look like someone who was being sexually harassed? I'm not interested in how she looks. The real question would be how did she feel. That's not for us to say. Other people are offended on her behalf. The fake outrage hath begun. I am not outraged. I don't know her or anything about that relationship. Quote

I don't know her or anything about that relationship. How did it look like she felt? What mental gymnastics would we have to go through to get to "she was harrassed"? She felt coerced to act like she was enjoying the moment because... societal pressure? She was at a hockey game surrounded by men so she behaved the way it's expected of her? She didn't give affirmative consent? Quote

Stoner Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Never said she was harassed. I said she gets to decide if that type of thing is okay with her. Of course. And unless she's the greatest actress since Helen Mirren, she was OK with it. Quote
