Clearly he's waiting until Seattle joins the league, he will then get plucked in the expansion draft (after signing a 4 year deal with snow) and snow will also give them something to take JT, because that's how snow works, and I also want Seattle to be good right off the bat.

Mostly because I'm drinking and wanna rile you guys up

Also, not a done deal, and still a fluid situation, but sounds like Isles may have good news on John Tavares as well.

Every day is a gross newsday these days, though.

Good, I want him to stay on the Island so the Leafs have ZERO chance of getting him.

Yeah, but who also paired that up with sudden and extreme levels of competence arriving in Isles management?  I know we'd all anticipated (and hoped for) Garth Snow's inexplicable tenure to continue.

I'm not surprised at all the NYI did everything and anything they could to retain him.

That means other teams have to offer 12.5 yr. or more to match.

Or the opportunity to actually do something with his career, which NYI cannot offer, Lamiorello or not.

Not Buffalo

Per John Vogl

The Sabres will not talk with John Tavares, Jason Botterill says.

Supposed to be 5 teams, Toronto, Sharks, Stars involved

Edit tbh: if he asks for more than Eichel I walk away.

True but there has been significant change to front office and coaching.

They just had a great draft. Dobson and Wahlstrom in the first was amazing.
