Twice now when switching over to the football game during a Sabres commercial --- it's also commercial time during the NFL game. And NFL commercials come back from commercial and then the announcers give a few more ad pitches. No advertising! <whistle>

Beaulieu makes a nice pass from the wall back to Pommers who was briefly playing D, for a long shot on goal.

Flyers have missed the net on a couple of two on ones.

Good period.  Who are these guys?

I get the feeling that teams that play the Sabres now are surprised: these aren’t the same Sabres as earlier on.

They are no longer a terrible team that often doesn’t exert full effort/know what to do within the system.

Nope. Now, the Sabres are a terrible team that gives a good effort/knows what to do within the system. It doesn’t cost teams a goal against or anything, as we don’t have many players with the capacity to regularly put the puck in the net, but dammit, if you aren’t ready for us, you just might get outshot!

Al Michaels last night said, "You know how long the last two minutes of a hockey game takes to play? Two minutes!"
