ubkev Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Well, this is going well. Good night all Quote
dudacek Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 How come I can never be right those times when it makes me happy? Quote
Thorner Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 This team is directed, produced, written, and starred in by Jack Eichel. Kane, O'Reilly and Ristolainen can have writing credits. No one else does anything. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 (edited) How come I can never be right those times when it makes me happy? Quick question. If goaltenders are completely responsible for the goals they let in (as you seem to believe) why do hockey teams have defensemen? To play defense, maybe? Edited January 5, 2018 by PromoTheRobot Quote
ubkev Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 How come I can never be right those times when it makes me happy? Because life sucks and then you die. Enjoy Arby's. Quote
SwampD Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 When is the last time we saw aSabre get a shot off as close as that first goal. Oh yeah. Samson from Jack. And he scored too. I think it was the only one this year. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Haven’t seen the starting goalie yet, but if there was ever a night Lehner was primed for a letdown, it would be tonight. Well done. Quote

hockeyhound Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Good Night, I can't do this. I thought I could return from my current strategy for watching the games which is record the game, check the score, and if they win all good but, if they lose simply delete. Painless procedure. Let's Go Buffalo! Quote
SwampD Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Girgensons had one, also from Jack. Bang bang. Actually, that's the one I was thinking of. Quote
erickompositör72 Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 I've seen twice so far when Samson tried to get the puck to Jack (one direct pass attempted, other off-the-boards pass attempt), and both were so weak they were taken away easily by the defending player. Maybe just a coincidence, or maybe Reinhart needs to actually play at NHL pace/strength level Quote
dudacek Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Quick question. If goaltenders are completely responsible for the goals they let in (as you seem to believe) why do hockey teams have defensemen? To play defense, maybe? I don't think you've been reading the board much lately. Quote
Beer Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Our D is the problem. Lehner being hung out to dry tonight. And I'm no Lehner fanboy. Quote
Stoner Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Seems like the whitewashing of Housley's performance has begun in earnest. Dubnyk keeping the North Stars in the game. Quote
Scottysabres Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Need to move some players. And honestly, the coach needs to get nasty. Quote
dudacek Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 (edited) That was dumb on Risto's part. I hear what Ray is saying, but it was slightly late and clearly to the head. And completely unnecessary. Edited January 5, 2018 by Mick O’Manly Quote
Beer Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 That was dumb on Risto's part. I hear what Ray is saying, but it was slightly late and clearly to the head. And completely unnecessary. I didn't think he targeted the head Quote
Thorner Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 (edited) Rob Ray "tough call". Get bent. That's a suspension. Edited January 5, 2018 by Bjorn Borg Quote
Stoner Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 That was dumb on Risto's part. I hear what Ray is saying, but it was slightly late and clearly to the head. And completely unnecessary. The NHL has really tightened up that timeframe for when it's interference. Lots of smart moves of late by the league to try and drag the game out of the dead puck era. Not Robin's fault. Risto fault.
