Iron Crotch Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 The Devils have won the first 5 games of their 6 game home stand. They'll get the 6 game sweep for sure with Buffalo in town. :bag: (watching the Devils' feed) Quote
Stoner Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Why wouldn't Mr. and Mrs. Palmieri name their kid Peter? Come on. Quote
ubkev Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Why wouldn't Mr. and Mrs. Palmieri name their kid Peter? Come on. Because they know ubkev doesn't like alliteration with names. Quote
LGR4GM Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 this teams a bunch of wussies who lack talent and heart. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 We've only scored 15 first period goals all season! Quote

Iron Crotch Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 (edited) Josefson... son of Josef. Pretty nice shot. Edited December 30, 2017 by Potato Quote
Stoner Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Interesting article on smelling salts and NHL players. Once used to help players "recover" from head injuries and return to a game. Basically huffing before a period with a very strong placebo effect and no apparent ill effects, except for the guy who broke one off in his nose and caused bleeding. Nice. https://www.si.com/nhl/2016/03/17/smelling-salts-nhl-players Josefson, the fans' smelling salt. Quote
darksabre Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Glad to see Josefson get one. He's been a good soldier this year. Quote
Tondas Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 One of the few "feel good moments" of the season. Quote

There's something about that rush you feel after taking a few whiffs. Really gets your brain going. Quote
Thorner Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 In seriousness I've heard Josefson is good in shootouts. Quote

LTS Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Smelling salts are nasty but they certainly wake you up fast. I'm not saying they help performance but you definitely are jolted. I tried it once. My nose hated me and that was that. Quote
Stoner Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Can anyone explain how linesmen makes calls on offsides like the last one? The puck is basically at the linesman's feet, yet he has to also see if the player across the ice has preceded the puck into the zone. He got it right, I think. Kind of uncanny. Quote
Tondas Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Sabres sleepwalking through this one. Time for a fight to wake the boys up. Nolan?? Quote

Stoner Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 Did Eichel dress for this one? There's your cue, Jack. That, too, was predetermined. Quote
