Thorner Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 Ray Ferraro doesn't seem to like Nylander, lambasting his play away from the puck. Mittelstadt fails to cash on a 3 on 0. How? Quote
Eleven Posted January 4, 2018 Author Report Posted January 4, 2018 new link up: 720p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf6XvlDsSEU This link can't be right; it has Sweden winning. Quote
ubkev Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 It's over. They didn't come to play today. Not at all. Quote
sodbuster Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 Ouch. They look like the Sabres. Quote
Eleven Posted January 4, 2018 Author Report Posted January 4, 2018 That was a horrible two minutes. Best of luck to Sweden, MODO. Quote
MODO Hockey Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 wow.. sweden owns usa. holy shizzles, such beautiful goals.Bye bye USA :w00t: :flirt: Quote
Thorner Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) Ouch. They look like the Sabres. Thought the same with 2 SH goals against on the same PP. Not scoring on a 3 on 0 down by a goal was a back-breaker. Edited January 4, 2018 by Bjorn Borg Quote
LTS Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 Sweden forcing the US to play poorly and the US showing no moxie. Mittelstadt needed to pass on the 3-0. That would have changed things. Sweden wants it and they are playing very disciplined hockey to get there. Quote
MODO Hockey Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 ohoh This is why you never should back off a little when in a big lead Quote
LTS Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 Ok. There is a little fire. Now Sweden gets to take free clearing shots at the empty net though. Quote
Thorner Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 A little disappointed Mittelstadt couldn't get on the scoresheet today. He seemed to slow down a little as the tournament went on. Could easily be a fatigue issue. Quote
LTS Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 A little disappointed Mittelstadt couldn't get on the scoresheet today. He seemed to slow down a little as the tournament went on. Could easily be a fatigue issue. He became the focus of the other teams. They talked about it on the broadcast. Sweden has had 2 to 3 guys on him as soon as he touches the puck. Quote
Thorner Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 ^That's a great point. He had his chances today, though. Odd man rushes, plenty of open looks. Quote
LTS Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 ^That's a great point. He had his chances today, though. Odd man rushes, plenty of open looks. He did.. and he didn't get lucky. I like that he was the focus. I like that he still had chances. I didn't like that he became somewhat predictable. I absolutely hated him not passing on the 3-0. That has to be a goal and the easiest play for the goaltender to defend is the puck carrier never really looking at a pass option. Oh well.. he showed well and that's all we can ask for. Nylander was one of the top 3 for Sweden as well which is encouraging. Quote
Thorner Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 Hopefully Casey finishes strong in the Bronze Medal game. Quote
Derrico Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 I thought middlestadt looked pretty good still last night. Not as dominate as previous games but could of easily had a goal and assist or two. Good luck tonight Modo. It's Canadian hunting season and I see some swedes wondering about. Quote
LTS Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 I'm all in for Sweden tonight. They should show well and if they can play the disciplined game they did against USA they should be in a great spot to win the game. Mittelstadt has looked great and I do hope for more today from him. Today's game is a sign of how players respond after failing. They blew up yesterday and anyone with pride should want to win this game big. Quote
Eleven Posted January 5, 2018 Author Report Posted January 5, 2018 MODO, your boys had damned well better finish the job tonight. I can't stand the thought of hosers celebrating here. Quote
