Didn't Luke Have 10 pts in 10 games to start that season? You knows the season where Ville Leino scored the first goal. Quote

ubkev Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 In Europe, too. After the previous 2 Stanley Cup champions started their seasons with wins in Europe. Quote

If I remember right, 2 of the 3 were at the top of the NHL goal scoring and/or points for awhile. It was incredible. Quote

North Buffalo Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Ramsay - Luce - Gare Second only to the French Connection. The checking line, ps how many breakaways did Don Luce have where he fired it over top of the net... Quote
Stoner Posted December 13, 2017 Author Report Posted December 13, 2017 Varada-Peca-Ward Thank you. That was hanging out there like a kottbullar. Great two way line during the 99 Cup run. Varadastein, Captain Tuna Can and, uh, Mental? Quote
DarthEbriate Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Varada-Peca-Ward I heartily agree with you, sir. (or madam, but it's a quote) It was fun watching them take on the best lines in the business night in and night out, and finish with a + to boot. Quote
North Buffalo Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 LaFontaine Molgilny and whoever was on their other wing! Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Ramsay - Luce - Gare Second only to the French Connection. Awesome. The checking line, ps how many breakaways did Don Luce have where he fired it over top of the net... Gare scored 50 goals playing on the 'checking line'. Imagine that. +++++ The French Connection, of course. Who did Ducky play with on his wings, especially after the arrival of LaFontaine? Ducky was a true centre ... an assist machine. Quote

Who did Ducky play with on his wings, especially after the arrival of LaFontaine? Ducky was a true centre ... an assist machine. I seem to remember Randy Wood (who's dandy good), and Donald Audette playing with Hawerchuk quite a bit during the 92-93 season. Quote
