Doohicksie Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Falk, he aight. I think he's great for what he is. If I recall he was even on the top pairing with Scandella when Risto was out? I'd rather see him there than Gorges. Quote
erickompositör72 Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 (edited) Falk will always find the wrong thing to do with the puck when he has possession of it in our zone. I mean, clear-cut possession. Just watch. If it's on his stick in our zone, count on it not leaving our zone and the other team regaining possession. Without fail. Edit: if we're lucky, the other team will only regain possession in the neutral zone. Edited December 12, 2017 by erickompositör72 Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Falk is just another in a long line of defensive whipping boys that includes Benoit, Franson, Gorges, Falk. They're depth guys that had to play over their levels due to lack of defensive depth. Gorges is finally being used correctly, and effectively, this year. Falk isn't so bad; he's just not a top pairing guy. He brings size, a good physical edge (plays to his size much better than Myers ever did). But he's a depth guy who should be playing bottom pair for maybe thirty games a year at most. Well said What's interesting about Bailey is that the Sabres placed him on IR November 7th, then returned him to Rochester on November 13th (presumably healthy). As noted in the article posted by I̶n̶k̶ Bork, he played November 18th and then nothing since. Came back too early potentially? What a mystery! Where is Justin Bailey?? Falk will always find the wrong thing to do with the puck when he has possession of it in our zone. I mean, clear-cut possession. Just watch. If it's on his stick in our zone, count on it not leaving our zone and the other team regaining possession. Without fail. Edit: if we're lucky, the other team will only regain possession in the neutral zone. Depth guy Quote
woods-racer Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Not sure which I prefer but this line up is 100% better than anything I've seen yet Said the exact same thing when I read the line up. Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Interesting Lines #Sabres lines: Pouliot-Eichel-Pominville Girgensons-ROR-Okposo Kane-Rodrigues-Reinhart Wilson-Larsson-Nolan I thought Pouliot and ROR worked well together. We shall see. Quote
Thorner Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Rodrigues line technically listed as Line 2. https://mobile.twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/940727744647790594?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet Quote

erickompositör72 Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Depth guy Behind Beaulieu, Antipin, and Georges. Falk better not be playing unless 2 of those 3 are not healthy tonight. Quote

3putt Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 ROR doesn’t look right. Like he can’t get full leg extension. Gotta be nursing something. Quote
Stoner Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 ROR doesn’t look right. Like he can’t get full leg extension. Gotta be nursing something. It went to his hands too apparently, Nice jolt by Nolan. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Bogo looks better! Seems like the defense has s playing well, the forwards are invisible Quote
WildCard Posted December 13, 2017 Author Report Posted December 13, 2017 Watch where Karlsson plays away from the puck. He's not down low a lot, and when it comes out he's forechecking Quote
Stoner Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Good to see that the house burglar is taking a night off. Quote
Brawndo Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 And the Doc jumps out of the crowd to tend to EROD Quote
Mustache of God Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Shoot, he ate that puck. Just when you thought his mouth couldn't get any bigger, like the grinch's heart, it swelled three times its size tonight. Quote
Stoner Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Sabres are so deficient in basic hockey skills. They're just not good. Quote
