bob_sauve28 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 I seriously think Lehner is the worst starting goalie the Sabres have ever had. It seems like most other goalies are much better at looking around the screen, seeing the shot in spite of screens. Is he just too tall? Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) I seriously think Lehner is the worst starting goalie the Sabres have ever had. Really? You see that 5-man crap show and think the goalie is the problem? Edited December 9, 2017 by PromoTheRobot Quote
darksabre Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Like I keep saying, Lehner could be a good goalie. Lehner is a mirage. Quote
Thorner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) I seriously think Lehner is the worst starting goalie the Sabres have ever had. Your usual Lehner chime in when it's basically irrelevant. 48 saves. Maybe Jack should learn to finish on a breakaway. Edited December 9, 2017 by Bjorn Borg Quote
CallawaySabres Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 I seriously think Lehner is the worst starting goalie the Sabres have ever had. He's the only reason it wasn't 10-2 The team around him is the worst the Sabres have ever had... Quote
DarthEbriate Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Uffda. Risto and Lehner combine for the 3-on-3 screen shot from the blue line. Quote
WildCard Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Your usual Lehner chime in when ya completely irrelevant. 48 saves. Maybe Jack should learn to finish on a breakaway. True, but he played a great game Our bottom 6 is just such freaking garbage Quote
Stoner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Lehner is a mirage. He's an inkman blot test. Quote

Is he just too tall? He shouldnt have had to if our superstar would actually play like one when it matters. He is great when we are down 4-0 tho... Edited December 9, 2017 by matter2003 Quote

Stoner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 The offside in question is a great example of how a player can precede the puck into the zone and be onside if he's controlling it. A much better example certainly than that controversial call earlier in the year. Quote
Taro T Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 I seriously think Lehner is the worst starting goalie the Sabres have ever had. Gary Bromley says 'hi.' Quote
Cityo'Rasmii Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) penalty shot head fakes were good, shot execution not so much Edited December 9, 2017 by tfighter Quote
hockeyhound Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Oh Jack, where is that million dollar goal? Quote
Thorner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) True, but he played a great game Our bottom 6 is just such freaking garbage He did. I honestly don't understand why he's so bad at breakaways. At this point I would tell him to just go in and take a slap shot or wrister from the slot. Edited December 9, 2017 by Bjorn Borg Quote

Thorner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Eichel is 1 for 9 in shootouts, and 0 for 1 on penalty shots. So 1 for 10. Perplexing. Quote
Nitro60 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Eichel, for being touted as a goal scorer, is horrible on breakaway/shoot outs. The seems to not to have a clue what to do. Quote
Stoner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Lehner could see, he was just looking in the wrong place. It was a great play by the shooter to throw on the brakes and send it around Okposo against the grain with the goalie watching for him on the other side. With Lehner, it's not about how many, it's about when. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 You don't want this team to win a game where they were dominated so badly. Keep losing and blow it up Quote
Billznut Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Gary Bromley says 'hi.'Lol at least Bromley helped get his team to the finals. That definitely isn’t happening with this team anytime soon. Quote
Thorner Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) Is the answer because he practices them against Lehner? Potentially. I think Jack had a great game today regardless. Lehner was phenomenal. We can't ever seem to beat the Blackhawks. They aren't very good this year. Edited December 9, 2017 by Bjorn Borg Quote
nfreeman Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 How many softies from the blue line in the 3rd period (or OT) does Lehner have to give up before people stop apologizing for him? When the Sabres have a lead in the 3rd period, we all know he's going to let one in. He doesn't have what is needed upstairs to close out games. I guaran-damn-tee that he's not their goalie next year. Quote
