Derrico Posted December 19, 2017 Report Posted December 19, 2017 I've been following Mittlestud's college results almost as much as the Sabres. I'm sooooo pumped to finally get to watch Casey and see what he can do on this stage. Quote

He knows he's playing in his future city for his future fans (current fans). I hope he has a great tournament. Quote

Thorner Posted December 19, 2017 Report Posted December 19, 2017 Super excited to see the next bunch of guys that will let us down I'll certainly temper my expectations if Mittelstadt has a great tournament. Nylander did too, and it hasn't translated to much this year thus far. Quote
Weave Posted December 19, 2017 Report Posted December 19, 2017 Wasn't Cody Hodgson a tourney MVP or something? Quote

Crusader1969 Posted December 20, 2017 Report Posted December 20, 2017 Same for that ######, Sam Reinhart, back in 2015. Do you guys research before you post? Neither Reinhart or Hodgson were Tourney MVP's. Here is a list of 10 last Top Dmen 2017 Chabot 2016 Werenski 2015 Gavrikov 2014 Ristolainen 2013 Trouba 2012 Gormley 2011 Ellis 2010 Pietrangelo 2009 Karlsson 2008 Doughty Top Forwards 2017Kaprizov 2016 Puljujarvi 2015 Domi 2014 Forsberg 2013 Nugent-Hopkins 2012 Kuznetsov 2011 Schenn 2010 Eberle 2009 Tavares 2008 Tikhonov Some pretty decent names there - especially on D Quote

Reinhart was widely considered to have had an excellent performance at the World Juniors, regardless of being named a tournament MVP or not. In Reinhart's particular case, it didn't happen to translate over to the NHL. That was my only point. Go watch Mittelstadt in the World Juniors. Enjoy. Quote

Thorner Posted December 20, 2017 Report Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) You guys are right. No sense even watching really. Having a good tourney is still better than having a bad one. Do you guys research before you post? Neither Reinhart or Hodgson were Tourney MVP's. What's your point? Sam still had a great tournament, led it in scoring, in fact. My only interests are Star Wars and this hockey team. :( No, I never do research before I post. Not ever. NEVER TELL ME THE RESEARCH! Alternatively: I never do the research until AFTER I've made the post! Edited December 20, 2017 by Bjorn Borg Quote
Crusader1969 Posted December 21, 2017 Report Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) The research point is that I thought they had said the Hodgsom and Reinhart were tourney MVPs but now see it was only the one post about Hodgson Yea, Samson was really good at the tourney but was also pretty good I'm his rookie and sophomore NHL seasons. Really can't figure what happened to him except to,say his confidence is totally crushed. Here are the highlights from the US game tonight. http://teamusa.usahockey.com/news_article/show/868813?referrer_id=695820 Edited December 21, 2017 by Crusader1969 Quote

And that's not having a bias Quote
Thorner Posted December 21, 2017 Report Posted December 21, 2017 It was Belarus, but Mittelstadt has some serious skill on display. Quote

Taunting other teams. I would love for him to be the "attitude" guy this team needs. A more talented Steve Ott. Quote
