darksabre Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 He was traded to Detroit by Pitt in October... Had 30ish points for the Pens last year Quote
Drunkard Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 He was traded to Detroit by Pitt in October... Had 30ish points for the Pens last year Sounds like top 6 material for this club. Quote
inkman Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 I guess Bots had enough. Bout freakin time. Quote
Stoner Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 Sounds like top 6 material for this club. Haha. I saw 30 points and I was like, wait a minute, this great is goooood. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 I would guess that is a prelude to more things to come. Bringing in Botterill's guys and moving out the players that don't fit what JB/PH want to do. Whatever that is. :bag: Quote
Stoner Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 OMFG he can swing an axe! https://www.google.com/search?biw=1335&bih=774&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=xIslWrraJ4Hi_AbfiK64BA&q=scott+wilson+the+walking+dead&oq=scott+wilson+the+walking+dead&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0.18904.18904.0.20283.1.1.0.0.0.0.149.149.0j1.1.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.1.146....0.UHbXpRkZGTM Quote

dudacek Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 Moulson’s replacement I guess And a guy I know next to nothing about Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 I'm a little discouraged by JBot bringing in a former Pen. It seems like he's making the same mistake XGMTM made in that he prefers players from his old club that he's familiar with. On the other hand, is Wilson AHL fodder to backfill players about to be moved up to the Sabres? Who's next on the waiver wire? Larsson? Quote
pastajoe Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 Botts following the Bills model of picking up Carolina cast offs that the GM is familiar with. Swapping deck chairs on the Titanic. Quote

Could use some of those hot farmers daughters though. Quote
WildCard Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 7th round pick out of U Mass by Pitt. Had some good seasons in the AHL Quote

I'm guessing he's meant for the big club if a draft pick was spent on him. Quote

I have yet to figure out why Larsson gets lopped in with Moulson, Griffith, Criscuolo, etc. He's an NHL caliber defensive/agitating forward. Perfect for the 4th line, suitable for the 3rd in the time being. Quote

Definately seems like J-BOT is going to try to keep the Amerks together for the year and fill in the Sabres with pieces until their ready to make the jump. Quote

JBOTs apparently has seen enough. Quote

It seems like he's making the same mistake XGMTM made in that he prefers players from his old club that he's familiar with. Every GM, coach, scout prefers his own players. As a fan, you just have to hope that your team's GM likes the right players. Quote

Rodriguez can do the same with more speed and offense. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 So. The Concept of Larsson now? What I thought he would be was valuable. What he is, far less so. Quote
Gramps Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 Botts following the Bills model of picking up Carolina cast offs that the GM is familiar with. Swapping deck chairs on the Titanic. C'mon he'll fit right in ... in 17 games with the Wings, 0 points so far. Quote
Sabel79 Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 Interesting to note: He may well be a cap casualty for Detroit, if they're trying to make something else happen or call somebody up. Wow is that team screwed until (possibly) next year. Franzen's LTIR is the only thing keeping them compliant... Quote
