Tondas Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 If I were JBOT, I wouldn't trade anyone. I would let them lose and let the players get sick of each other and get pissed at each other. Then, they finally might start telling the truth to their teammates and begin holding themselves accountable. I think a trade just gives them another excuse and more time to suck. Quote
hockeyhound Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) Just wait till we get that miraculous comeback in the third and lose 4-3! Progress! Stay hydrated. and Let the Shi* Show begin. Let's Go Buffalo! Edited December 2, 2017 by hockeyhound Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 Blackhawks had an 8 game scoreless streak in the 1928-29 season. I think we have the talent to beat that. Quote
matter2003 Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 All I can say is... We tanked for this?? Those teams played better than this...at least they tried. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 I just ran the NHL lottery simulator. Your top-3? Philly, Carolina, Chicago. Somehow, that was more painful than this game. Quote
R_Dudley Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 That's it, then. Trade him. I get that Botterill probably wants to take his time and evaluate, but he's going to have to make a move in the hopes of jumpstarting this roster, so he can potentially get a better idea of what some of the players on this roster may or may not be able to do. They need a shakeup, now. A core piece has to be moved. He isn't going to get an accurate reading from this cesspool. Pittsburgh panned Jbot up in the box. Said some nice things about how he helped the Pens and deserved this chance but had his work cut out for him. Jbot looked very frustrated. We know he he can't be happy. Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 What about modern NHL..post 1970? Sabres franchise record? Not sure but in those days dmen didn't really activate which cuts down on scoring chances. Sabres specific I am thinking something in the eighties but my motivation to check is on par with Eichel's game time motivation. Quote
Scottysabres Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 I'm looking at Housley more and more as the cancer. This team has front end talent. Hell, we had the #1 power play last season. Fire that piece of already! Quote
Thorner Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) What does Jack sign for if Botterill waits till this offseason? 8 million? Edited December 2, 2017 by Thorny Quote

At some pointit has nothing to do with system or scheme its the players. I wouldn't say it has nothing to do with system or scheme. Bylsma was coaching an approach that is not suited for today's NHL, and Housley has managed to annihilate the powerplay. That stuff matters. But it's clear there are still significant problems with the on-ice talent. Quote
