Randall Flagg
I'd be comfortable with Sam to wing at this point - I've seen what I need to see, at least with our wing talent so depleted due to injuries and bad in general. See what he and Jack can do. Balls-ROR-Okposo Girgensons-Eichel-Reinhart Kane-Larsson-Baptiste/Bailey Griffith-Josefson when healthy?-Baptiste/Bailey Let's do eeeet
CallawaySabres
I can't ever remember having a "star" on a buffalo team that I could care so little about...more than Eichel. He rubs me the wrong way in every aspect. I hated Shady when he came to the Bills and hated him the whole 1st year. Even he has grown on me with his attitude and heart. Nitro60
Phil and his staff might be out by Christmas. The team has no identity. No spirit. No fight. Sleep walking.
Iron Crotch
Can we send Samson back to the Q? He just isn't very good - certainly not #2 overall good. He is a non-physical drifty drifter. I'm tired of the "he needs time" stuff... year 3 he should be coming into his own as a real threat in this league. IMHO, put him on the wing and move Girgs back to #3 center.
LTS
Phil and his staff might be out by Christmas. The team has no identity. No spirit. No fight. Sleep walking. This isn't Housley. He's not going anywhere.
Stoner
So few shots and chances against this opponent is a very strong indictment of the coaching staff.
Thorner
Since we've lost more than twice as many hockey games as we've won, let's maybe take a peak at the line combos, as we're now past a dozen games with essentially this setup with no change. Please? Agreed. Reinhart isn't a center. If he's not on Jack's wing, he pretty much doesn't do much of anything 5-on-5. Yup. The guy is a second overall pick who has 5 points in 15 games in his 3rd full NHL season, 4th overall. The "showing improvement" thing isn't enough anymore. See if he can do something consistent at wing or ship him out if you can find a decent deal. If you could point me to where I make that claim I will make you a millionaire. I didn't say you did. If you can point me to where I did......I'll give you 10 bucks and half a coke. I'll take the million if you have it, though.

The coaches can't make players shoot. The players own this on their own.
Randall Flagg
That roughing call on Nolan was absolutely bullshniz!t. It might have been, but if I'm a 4th line plug there's no way I engage in anything close to a situation like that when we're down a goal with less than 10 minutes left and about to go on the peeper. Randall Flagg
Also, Jack's hockey sense - "I'm going to start shooting more" and he rips half a dozen shots into plain as day shin-pads. Watch how Matthews and Crosby and guys like that pick their spots and make decisions. Jack's a physical freak but he'll never have elite hockey brains. Sorry that I'm a broken record. I think that was Kyle's best game. Beaulieu looked good until he single-handedly killed any hope of tying the game with 1:30 left.
Claude Balls
Jordan Nolan was the only bright spot tonight. And Marty is trying to say he shouldn't have gone after Haley. He is the only guy with a set on this team. Weak and spineless is what they are.
JohnRobertEichel
Tank was supposed to bring in talent. Went through several coaches. New GM and front office. This team is expansion level bad. Hard to watch them. Speaking of "expansion level bad," can someone explain to me how the Golden Knights are currently the 7th best team in the league while we are currently the 30th? I'm even skeptical at this point he can even provide enough value at wing.

Purely addressing the Knights, they are unraveling and will settle towards the bottom of the standings soon enough.

Thorner
I'm more concerned about Jack though. What if this is what we get next year for 10 million dollars? 72 point pace, with disinterested play and below average defensive acumen. Please, no. The current rules with the number of teams means that expansion teams start out WAAAAY farther along than one that tanked.

He'll have 3 more hot streaks that have us drooling this season alone. He's a 21 year old struggling with the weight of a very bad team on his shoulders, not a key piece being defective in an otherwise well-oiled machine. I have watched hockey since 1968 and many good men got fired when it was the players. I like Phil and think he deserves better. The old saying goes that you can not fire the whole team.
