Thorner Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) Yes! And Eichel must have been drunk tonight Really. Â A brilliant, open net, open ice chance there get back to a point a game and he and blew it. Â Oh well. A win is a win. Edited November 8, 2017 by Thorny Quote

Doohicksie Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Winning makes me feel like a winner.  Can almost taste those sprinkles, can't ya? :w00t:  Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Nice win with all those defensemen hurt. Every win in that situation is great. Hope they get healthy soon Quote
The Dominator Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Well that was a satisfying win. Will this be a win in passing as they have been so far this year, or will they build off it? Hopefully the latter Quote
hockeyhound Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 I'll take it. The Caps weren't impressive tonight. Â Sabres fans take what they can get. Â Let's Go Buffalo! Quote
Thorner Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 It was a satisfying win, but I'm always looking for a good game from Jack as our franchise guy and therefore there is a little bittersweet involved. Â Kane is up to point-a-game now. An argument can be made he's currently our best player. I'd say him or ROR at this time. Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 8, 2017 Author Report Posted November 8, 2017 2-0 on GDT... I should retire Quote
Thorner Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 2-0 on GDT... I should retire Just save them for special moments! Quote
Doohicksie Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 I'll take it. The Caps weren't impressive tonight.  I'll put a different spin on it: The Caps weren't impressive because the Sabres didn't give them a lot of room. When they close the gaps and skate hard, the Sabres are a pretty good team. The problem is they respect other teams too much, too many games, and they back off so they don't get beat by speed. Disrupt the play before it gets going and you don't have to worry about the speed. Quote
Scottysabres Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Girgs showed speed. Kane scoring (pump that trade value UP UP UP) Â Glad for the win. Quote
Thorner Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Girgs showed speed. Kane scoring (pump that trade value UP UP UP) Glad for the win. I don't want to trade the guy that has 24% of our goals scored this season. Quote
hockeyhound Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) Falk was a monster tonight, he aggravated the hell out of OV all night long. Â Towards the end of the third OV went out of his way to put a big hit on Falk and Falk got up after the hit with a smile on his face. Â Great job. Â Oh yeah, don't forget Falk blocking multiple shots and taking one for the team when he stepped in front of an OV bomb point blank. Edited November 8, 2017 by hockeyhound Quote
millbank Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 That was a very nice win and has to be encouraging to entire team Quote
