TrueBlueGED Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 At a wedding and watched the game on MSG Go App. My wife is pissed at me, but it's totally worth it Wait, the whole thing? I hope there was an open bar
SwampD Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Wrong natural disaster. I watched until 4-3, and then a tornado touched down and torched a casino about 10 minutes away and made a beeline for the university  My first ever tornado siren that wasn't a drill Dude. Glad you're okay. And the Sabres won!!!!!
Claude Balls Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Watched at Bruins fans place. He called this. That's what happens when the Sabres play the Sabres. ???

Doohicksie Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 You know, just before Pouliot scored, the word "inevitable" started wafting through my brain. The Sabres were bringing it, and the Bruins started to lose their cool. I didn't dare say it out loud (or here in the forum) but to me, this win was inevitable.
hockeyhound Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) So nice to hear the Boston announcers trying to sort this one out. Edited October 22, 2017 by hockeyhound
Claude Balls Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Has the sleeping giant been awoken?? We shall see.
Iron Crotch Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Y'all can thank me for turning the game off. This is clearly my fault. I turned the game on when everyone else turned it off. All I saw this evening was domination (tuned in part way through the 3rd). :)

You'll get used to that.
Claude Balls Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 So nice to hear the Boston announcers try to sort this one out. You mean they haven't said the winning goal shoulda been goalie interference, or that the game woulda been a Boston blowout if Rask played? When the Bruins lose, it's never because of them according to those two jerkoffs.

PromoTheRobot Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 ??? He meant that the Bruins have been as bad as the Sabres.
Randall Flagg Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Dude. Glad you're okay. And the Sabres won!!!!! That's horrifying. I shat my pants. It's dark out so that makes it worse. I went outside when it went off (smart, right? ) and everything was dead still, and students were all out of their apartments. Some got in their cars and offered to take me to campus but with a tornado actually down, and not being able to see it, I was sketched by that even though we don't have basements here. Then it dumped buckets of rain and hail instantaneously so I scampered back inside, to the apartment below mine so I could check the score from my wifi but not be on the second story  Phew. Can't wait to watch the last 15 minutes of this one.
Pokey Jones Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 See, if they just give effort they can play better - now we just need to figure out how to get them to give effort every night and for 60 minutes. I liked the decision to play Bailey with Eichel. Smart move by Phil to not have a Pomminstein/Marchand match up. A big body who can skate is a good idea for the Eichel line. Scandella's best game so far. Beaulieu out, let's keep it that way. BUT, don't get giddy, if it's Rask playing average Rask or if Lehner doesn't stop Marchand, then we lose this game. Khubodin fought the puck all night and was just awful at times. Reinhart still rubbish. Good thing Moulson was in the press box..........oh wait.......he was on the ice doing something or other not sure what. The scrubs are still scrubs. But for the moment enjoy. Signs of life. let's see what the effort level is for the next one.........

erickompositör72 Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) I really like Kane-Eichel-Bailey Most teams cannot contain that speed, and it will wear them down and open things up. Edit: they just need to get a little better in their own zone Edited October 22, 2017 by ericcomposer72

Iron Crotch Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Huge minutes for Risto (29:40) and Scandella (27:23) and McCabe (23:43). All other defensemen 16:08 or less. I didn't watch the whole game, but McCabe looked really good on the left side.
bob_sauve28 Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 I thought they played well in the first, too. Boston got the bounces Love those smiles. Sounds like you had a crazy night! Glad you are ok
matter2003 Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Why does this team need to find itself down 3 goals in the 3rd period before they come to play?? Twice now in the last 3 games...
SwampD Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Effort had nothing to do with the win. Unwasted effort was why they won,… eventually. They went to the right spots on the ice, there were only two no-look passes to the other team, and they started actually receiving passes. It was a great win and shows what they are capable of. There will definitely be some more growing pains in our future, but they'll get there.
