The kid is asleep. Wife's out. Just settled in with a tasty beverage out in the werande (pronounced veranda), and yes, that is Polish for porch, on this glorious fall evening. A little Bruins/Golden Knights pre game action waiting for the Sabres. F in Fantastic.

Looking forward to a good game.

NLCS for me.

We have another game tonight

Underrated GDT opening post.

Ugh why is Kane back with Eichel? Why?

Because he flat out refuses to give Kane his own line which could actually allow scoring to get spread around.

Girgensons, a guy that most would put on the 3rd line had 3 points in 5 periods playing w/ Eichel & Pominville (another guy most figured was destined for 3rd line duty). If, by putting your 3rd line wingers w/ your top center you can generate that kind of offense from that line, use your other "scorers" in a combination that actually generates more than 2 additional scoring chances per game.

Quite annoying.

Or even just play Kane with O'Reilly and Reinhart. Many have wanted to see Kane with Sam, and he'd help add a speed element to that line.

Which is at least trying to spread the offense around & attempting to jumpstart 2 guys that need to be going better.

Bylsma never gave the Girgensons-Eichel experiment more than an instant here or there. Had hoped w/ all the ballyhoing about Housley that he'd give them more than getting a regular shift together for ~102 minutes of line rolling.

Frustrating.

Sabres so far

1) played well, deserved to win

2) Imploded after a decent start and gave the game away

3) Absolutely sucked

4) played a boring, tentative game but kept it close enough they could have won

5) played a good game but lost

6) win
