Normally I dismiss any hockey cliche, but this one is so right. When the Sabres play as engaged as LA, they have been the better team. 

Nolan has played more than Reinhart this game. IMO that's not a very good thing. Samson's doing good work.

Nolan is OK, but I don't see a (ton) of upgrade over D-lo, it's there, but he's not wowing me, and he had at least 1 blatant turnover again in the 2nd

Just from a practical standpoint, if you miss the puck and skate by the guy,.. that guy is still in the play. If you miss the puck but take that guy out, then at least that guy is out of the play. And he also has to think about getting hit the next time
