Doohicksie Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Did anyone see any other locker room interviews bar ROR? I can't wait to watch the Housley presser. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 O.k., the first time I heard him give the self evaluation speech I was like you, "I like that he admitted it." but this is a regular thing with this guy. All last year I had to listen to this guy beat himself up, just listen to his locker clean-out interview. It's troublesome to hear a guy in his position talk like that. If Toews didn't have three cups he would be saying the same thing. It isn't healthy to be that competitive - what makes these guys elite is the fact something is missing. Same with the special forces. They're built differently - it's what allows them to excel. Quote
Sabel79 Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 On the plus side: good time for a West Coast trip. Shake it up entirely. Play hockey. Let's see what we get. Quote
Cityo'Rasmii Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Agree^ and can't wait to see what changes are made. . . Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 I'd like to know what's going on before giving him the C. Leadership has to be earned. Quote
Cityo'Rasmii Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 I could be wrong but I think we're even further away from seeing a "C" handed out. . Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 I forgot there was a game today. Did we win? Quote

I would rather hear ROR find something good in his game that night and comment on that, and then just say, we're going to continue to work hard or it's still early season. Not "I'm Useless". Let's Go Buffalo! Quote
Jacque Richard Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 What would Babcock do with this group. Quote

Pokey Jones Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 I know I know, but if you blew it up and built it wrong what choice do you have other than blowing it up again? Look, the Isles aren't very good imo but we all talked about how a team that was beaten bad would bounce back with a big effort which they had. We should have seen that from us in this game and we didn't. So, if they can't fix it on this road trip coming up (which is the traditional pull together bs scenario) then blow it up cause there is no other choice. Quote
darksabre Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 What would Babcock do with this group. Show them how to problem solve. When things aren't going their way they just run into the wall over and over, instead of trying to go around it. Quote
Radar Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 (edited) What would Babcock do with this group. About what you see. Man, please enough with this Babcock bs. Edited October 9, 2017 by Radar Quote

Not "I'm Useless". Let's Go Buffalo! Yeah fair enough. Dude is a head case though. You're asking him to be someone different. He will always look at what he did wrong not what he did right. If i'm Housley next practice I line them up on the goal line and start them doing suicides for an hour. Give them the old Herb Brooks speech Quote
Jacque Richard Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 First time I mention Babcock Quote
Pokey Jones Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Babcock isn't doing anything magical, he just has more talent to work with. Quote
Jacque Richard Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Not a hungry group I guess. Collecting their fatty checks Babcock isn't doing anything magical, he just has more talent to work with. disagree Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 What bothers me is O’Reilly and Eichel are getting paid a ton of cash and both are performing sub-par. I still think Eichel was more like 8.5 mil instead of 10. Quote
Radar Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 First time I mention Babcock Not directed to you. Coaching always takes the brunt. Coaches do make a difference but players make a larger one. Quote
North Buffalo Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 (edited) Glad I missed the game... Saw the score... based on the comments sounds like the guys are still struggling getting use to each other and the system and where they need to be when a D jumps up. Its the old 80s Olympic hockey system, the guys have to skate a full 200 feet and play both ends. Not complicated but requires endurance and hustle... This may take a while to implement. 5 man attack, 5 man D. Edited October 9, 2017 by North Buffalo Quote
nfreeman Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Boy, when Buffalo sports collapse, they fall like a ton of bricks. Does anyone still support the tank? Quote
North Buffalo Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Boy, when Buffalo sports collapse, they fall like a ton of bricks. Does anyone still support the tank? Yes, but Housley is gonna need to have these guys do wind sprints for a month. Quote
Jsixspd Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Buffalo already 5th worst in the league, and right back to their perennial place at the bottom of the Atlantic. There are carp and suckers that spend less time on the bottom than this team. Pathetic. There's a difference between 'learning a new system' and being lackluster, unmotivated, and apathetic. Looks like serious trouble already with the new management. When do we start tanking? Quote
ubkev Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 There should be relegation in the NHL. Quote
Eleven Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Boy, when Buffalo sports collapse, they fall like a ton of bricks. Does anyone still support the tank? The third overall pick from 2015 is in the AHL right now. Quote
