LGR4GM Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Missing perhaps our three best defencemen, but otherwise that's a regular season lineup. Do you mean 2... question mark Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Do you mean 2... question mark Reesto, Scandella, McCabe Quote
dudacek Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Reesto, Scandella, McCabe That's it. Pens also starting an NHL lineup. We got hockey boys and girls. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 ooooo I thought we were counting Gorges and I about had an aneurysm Quote
JujuFish Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 I wish I could watch MSG legally on the internet from over here in New England. Quote
North Buffalo Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Updated the lines. At least Gorgonzola Gorges isnt playing. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 I wish I could watch MSG legally on the internet from over here in New England. I wish I could do that legally in Buffalo. Quote
Eleven Posted September 27, 2017 Author Report Posted September 27, 2017 I wish I could watch MSG legally on the internet from over here in New England. You can. It's those of us in Buffalo who can't. You can get Center Ice and the Sabres won't be blacked out like they are for us. Quote
Sabel79 Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 NHL.tv is showing at least some preseason games. It's how I watched the Leafs game over the weekend. Quote
pi2000 Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 With half the defense missing and the Pens roster even better than their Cup winning version (+Letang), I'll say 8-2 Penguins.... good luck CJ. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Is this the first time ROR, Eichel, and Sam have been on the ice together? Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Game is scheduled to be live on NHL Network (7pm EST). So the game should be findable by both conventional and unconventional means. Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Thanks. You're welcome. Do keep in mind that NHLN may opt to carry the Pittsburgh feed, which is awful. Quote
dudacek Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) I'll be watching Justin Bailey. I think the organization loves his speed and athleticism and character and wants him to win a job. His interview this morning said it all: he has to use his speed and by the first guy in, hard on the puck. I think they believe that as long as he is pushing the pace, he will be an asset to the aggressive speed game they want to play, forcing turnovers and creating space. Housley has done a good job of forcing him to pay his dues in camp and focus only on the little things while burying him on the fourth line. Tonight he gets a chance. I still think one more year in Roch would be better for him long term than 4th line minutes in Buffalo. Yeah, he's at an age where he needs to show something, but let him do that in Roch where he'll get more opportunity. They want to build a winner down there and that doesn't happen with guys like Bailey/Baptiste/etc playing 6 minutes a night in Buffalo. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 RJ looks old but sounds pretty good. Marty Biron looks older I still think one more year in Roch would be better for him long term than 4th line minutes in Buffalo. Yeah, he's at an age where he needs to show something, but let him do that in Roch where he'll get more opportunity. They want to build a winner down there and that doesn't happen with guys like Bailey/Baptiste/etc playing 6 minutes a night in Buffalo. Well he will get penalty kill time which could be significant. That seems like a decent amount of experience, playing the fourth line, moving up in there are injuries and killing penalties Quote
StuckinFL Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 What if Reino at C is all that some here think he is? And what if he uses that hockey brain and those nifty passes to unlock Bailey's potential? What if Pouliot reverts to his very solid previous levels of productivity to start the season, and then Nylander returns from injury, seizes the LW spot on Reino's line and makes like prodigal son Jaime Lannister prior to "this'll help you remember?" That would be a highly compelling 3rd line. It could happen. I want to beive this soooooo bad. I just don't see it happening, because Buffalo. But god, if there is one instance I hope against hope I'm wrong. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Bailey tonight and Baptiste on Friday for their last opportunities to stay up for opening night. Time to make something good happen, Bs. If not, go down and tear up the AHL while Griffith gets the start. Hmmm... now... what cheese(s) do I need for tonight's game? I like the new avatar Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Bogo, Eichel, ROR wearing the A's Quote
