millbank Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Right on . He has nothing to prove , scary the prospect of injury Quote
3putt Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 I wouldn't mind if Eichel didn't play another second of preseason hockey Matty Mo and Gorges both look a step worse than last year, and shouldn't be starting on this team. I get the injury concern, but there has to be a more consistent commitment to winning from him. I know these don't matter but at least make it look like you care. Quote

Our other three lines got absolutely caved in by the Leafs' B-team. Guhle is a deer in headlights. Quote

GrassValleyGreg Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Reinhart absolutely brutal. 3rd year now; no reason why he should look so scared and lost. Edited September 23, 2017 by GrassValleyGreg Quote
millbank Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Got to give new coaching staff and players opportunity to work together They will be fine on defense, issue going to be can they score Quote
darksabre Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 I've liked Baloo so far. I really need Eichel to cut to the middle on the power play. He needs to work his way in from that low left circle position and just see if he can trick a defender/goalie into thinking he's going to pass to the guy parked off the left side of the net. Quote
Pokey Jones Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 "not much spark" the Sportsnet announcer said. Tell me that doesn't sum it up good. Good thing I don't take preeason seriously or I'd be really depressed about this (cough) effort. Quote
darksabre Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Nice sequence by Kane Reino Pommers there. Quote
bunomatic Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Whoa that Greg Millen ballwashh of the leafs gets tiresome Quote
Scottysabres Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 They look terrible most of the time. A few flashes of chemistry but not much else. Hoping that changes with time. Gorges looks like retirement material. Quote
bunomatic Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Haven't seen anything to get excited about with this sabres squad Quote
Sabel79 Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Good hands by 24 there. Nice goal. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 What a deflection from Fasching, nice. Quote
darksabre Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 That goal is why I like wristers from the point. Quote
3putt Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Bailey has looked better tonight. Quote
bunomatic Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 (edited) Lookin better . Until that tripping penalty. Edited September 24, 2017 by bunomatic Quote
darksabre Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 I love that our D players are taking opportunities to jump up in the offensive zone. That was a weak call on Kane. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Antipin certainly has NHL skill level, he just needs to mentally catch up to the speed of the game. Some good play from our boys over the last 4 minutes or so. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Antipin and Beaulieu look good, Guhle looks nervous but I like the way he cleared the front of the net there Quote
darksabre Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Unfortunately this is what happens when two evenly matched squads meet up in the preseason on back to back nights where either of the two main attractions aren't playing. Antipin and Beaulieu look good, Guhle looks nervous but I like the way he cleared the front of the net there Guhle definitely needs some more seasoning. I think Antipin is going to be good but frustrating at times. Quote
SwampD Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 All I know is it's the first day of fall and I'm watching hockey. It's good. Quote
darksabre Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 All I know is it's the first day of fall and I'm watching hockey. It's good. The new jerseys look good too. Quote
erickompositör72 Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 I love Antipin's aggressiveness. I'll take it. Beaulieu will be a stud. Eichel is like having 2 players on the ice. Did anyone see that shorthanded scoring chance he created single-handedly? Quote
