Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Considering that my high school team could have beaten the Sabres last night, as configured, tonight's game should be better. GO SABRES!! Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 23, 2017 Author Report Posted September 23, 2017 We get to see Timothy Liljegren tonight possibly. He is on the active roster. Quote
Brawndo Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Game is on MSG, but they are simulcasting the Sports Net Feed, prepare for another Leafs Love Fest. But it's on TV, so no complaints Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 23, 2017 Author Report Posted September 23, 2017 No Boogalieu tonight but Ristalieu is happening so that should be good to watch. I would hope that Eichel will drop the hammer on the leafs, he should be able to against their projected lineup. Liljegren is a story to watch, Buffalo could have drafted him but instead we took Casey Mittelstadt, was that decision correct? Time shall tell. Game is on MSG, but they are simulcasting the Sports Net Feed, prepare for another Leafs Love Fest. But it's on TV, so no complaints Over/under on how many times tonight those announcers brag about how this isn't the real leafs lineup. WildCard Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Housley seems pretty determined to keep Reinhart at center Quote
Weave Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Housley seems pretty determined to keep Reinhart at center Noone can say he hasn't had a fair audition. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 I'm excited to see Sam center that line. Easily the best line he's ever played center for in his life. Toronto's lineup tonight isn't as weak as ours was last night, so I don't expect a bloodbath or anything, but I still think we take this one, unless we play disinterested. Quote

Some interesting combinations at forward and defense Quote
inkman Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Liljegren is a story to watch, Buffalo could have drafted him but instead we took Casey Mittelstadt, was that decision correct? Time shall tell. This seems to be a little common theme with you. The shoulda coulda woulda draft stuff. From EJ to Middelstat, I don't know how you can live this way. Everything that everyone does ever should be second guessed and rehashed in your head. I'm of the theory that you shouldn't dwell on the past. Learn from your mistakes and move on. But questioning sports teams drafts picks continuously seems mentally draining. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 23, 2017 Author Report Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Ej was a garbage pick then and is now. It's just a fun story line for the game. How about you relax. It's a, message board, we literally come here to rehash and discuss Edited September 23, 2017 by LGR4GM Quote
qwksndmonster Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 It's so nice to see Housley doing real science after 2 year of Bylsma's neanderthal non-experimentation. Quote

millbank Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Absolutely crazy schedule tonight last game between Leafs and Sabres until March Quote
3putt Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 That is just horrible scheduling. Two before xmas, and two in the last two weeks would have been great. Quote

Liljegren is a story to watch, Buffalo could have drafted him but instead we took Casey Mittelstadt, was that decision correct? Time shall tell. Over/under on how many times tonight those announcers brag about how this isn't the real leafs lineup. Probably fairly high. But it looks like this is mainly the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, & spares lineup whereas last night's was 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, & spares lineup. So, it's not like this is entirely the Marlies but it isn't the real Loafs either. (Just like only 1/2 the boys in b&g will be here against Moe-ray-all 2 Thursdays from now.) Welcome to preseason hockey. Quote
millbank Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 That is just horrible scheduling. Two before xmas, and two in the last two weeks would have been great. Was listening to Paul Hamilton talking about it . He was saying alternately just imagine if both teams fighting for playoffs how wild these games will be Quote
3putt Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 A home and home the last 2 games of the season would have been epic. But I like the energy of the games during the regular season early as well. Quote
millbank Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 5 months between games just crazy Quote
erickompositör72 Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 It's so nice to see Housley doing real science after 2 year of Bylsma's neanderthal non-experimentation. Bylsma was quite scientific. He found things that worked beautifully and then never did them again. Quote
