Sabres Fan in NS Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 I have to think that the coach knows a thing, or two. I actually really like our 1st line. They seem to compliment each other nicely. The secondary scoring will come once ROR and KO get back on track.
Randall Flagg Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 I'm ready to get Antipin signed for a couple years at a cheap price. I like very much how he's adjusting.
darksabre Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 I'm ready to get Antipin signed for a couple years at a cheap price. I like very much how he's adjusting. Looking at the rest of our D, I feel like we have no choice but to keep him.
Thorner Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 Mittelstadt - Eichel - Pominville Nylander - O'Reilly - Okposo Girgensons - Reinhart - Bailey Pouliot - Larsson - Baptiste Something like that next year, if Casey comes over, and Nylander eventually plays in Roch this year and looks good, might result in us having the talent needed. A few ifs there, especially when you include Okposo. But there's promise.
LGR4GM Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 Olofsson and Asplund will be involved in the 2018 lineup
rakish Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 I'm ready to get Antipin signed for a couple years at a cheap price. I like very much how he's adjusting. Housley mostly dresses Antipin at home where he can control whom he plays against. Let's wait until he can play road games before hiring long term.
3putt Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 Olofsson and Asplund will be involved in the 2018 lineup In Rochester yes. Both need a taste of NA before they are in Buffalo.
Doohicksie Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Redmond back to Rochester Praise Jeebus!
Doohicksie Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Better than Redmond. (I was surprised when they both went down, was thinking maybe Bogo was close to being ready... silly me!)

darksabre Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 If he'd just swap Kane and Girgs that would look great That's basically the last thing I need, besides some help on the blue line.

Brawndo Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 I'm just going to leave this here Housley on Tennyson,"It's just where we're at as a defense,we're banged up and I think he's risen above the other players to earn those min"
darksabre Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 That's awkward praise. Agreed. I dunno if that says more about Housley or the state of our defensive depth.
Doohicksie Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 I think he could have said something more like, "He's doing a great job of executing the system," which I think he is. He's not the best in the D zone, but he's pretty good at moving the puck up and carrying it in the neutral and O zones.
Sabel79 Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 I'm just going to leave this here Housley on Tennyson,"It's just where we're at as a defense,we're banged up and I think he's risen above the other players to earn those min" If I may parse this: "He's slightly better than players who can't play due to injury and literally nobody else is available"
Doohicksie Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 The whole team is in a learning process but I think Tennyson is running the system pretty close to what Housley wants, even if his +/- is in the toilet.
Brawndo Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 The whole team is in a learning process but I think Tennyson is running the system pretty close to what Housley wants, even if his +/- is in the toilet. This is a spot on assessment
Doohicksie Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Really? Most opinions expressed by the Poster Known As Doohickie are complete shots in the dark based on gut feel of someone who hasn't lived in hockey country for 20+ years.
LGR4GM Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 In Rochester yes. Both need a taste of NA before they are in Buffalo. This is not necessarily true. We shall see.
