The best part about Reinhart getting this center time is that we never have to say "what if" with him again. Either he takes it and runs with it, or he shows that it's not his spot, and we no longer have to argue about it and what we have in him.

Now go make us all proud, Samson.

What if he was given decent wingers

Indeed.  IMHO Reino won't have gotten a fair shot at C if he doesn't get anyone better than a washed-up Pouliot or a never-got-there Bailey (although it's far from clear that those are fair descriptions of those 2 guys).

Power play work:

PP1: 15 90 21 23 55

PP2: 9 26 29 82 47

So

Eichel - RoR - Okposo - Reinhart - Ristolainen

and

Kane - Moulson - Pomminstein- Balloon - Bogosian

Hahaha just found the easter egg on this board. Well played, SDS

Pominville taking the draws on #2, or Kane?

So, Housley is smart enough to leave the NHL's best PP unit together. Good on him.

If Nylander does get a shot whe healthy, I'd expect him to take Pominville's 1/2 wall spot & Pominville to take either Beaulieu's (my best guess) or Bogosian's spot.

Moulson had best produce on that 2nd unit or he'll be in the pressbox before you can say 'Bylsma overthought stuff.'

Taylor Fedun just left Sabres’ practice. Jake McCabe is already out with injury.

UBI, right? So, how long before Falk (likely next man up) succumbs to one?

Gorges needs to stop whacking D-men on the head. ;)

Per Vogl

Sabres’ lines:

Kane-Eichel-Pominville

Girgensons-ROR-Okposo

Pouliot-Reinhart-Bailey

Moulson-Larsson-Baptiste

Deslauriers-Josefson-Griffith

Sabres’ defense:

Scandella-Ristolainen

Beaulieu-Bogosian

Antipin-Fedun

Gorges-Tennyson

Falk-Goloubef

EROD watching with a cast on his right wrist, and Nylander is watching as well

Fedun over Falk???

Perhaps its worth a try and they all click together. Bailey needs time with a good player and Pouliot has done something before. They won't be facing top defense so maybe this works

Why not?  Worked for Vanek.

In fairness, Vanek was playing w/ (& against) young NHLers during the lockout.

Bailey was playing w/ post-Sabres tank Amerks against AHLers.

Can't totally discount the effects of those around a player. W/ that said, yep, no friggin' way Bailey comes close to Vanek production.

The Sabres are an NHL team that consistently suffers from a lot of injuries. This cannot be used as an excuse, as it must be accounted for in advance, as sure as the sun will come up tomorrow.

I like the lines I think, aside from Moulson being in the starting lineup seemingly. Just, no. He ruins the visual, seeing him there with Larsson and Baptiste. Not to mention ruining the line itself.

Keep Gorges away from all the D... he's trying to eliminate competition.

He better not do anything to that snowflake Falk.  I happened to see his hometown while looking at the Sabre roster yesterday and I will now forever refer to him as a snowflake.
