LGR4GM Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) Lets have some fun with jack's scoring. We can review this after the season finishes, if we remember. So take the over under and lets see what happens. Edited September 8, 2017 by LGR4GM Quote
Sabel79 Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 Taking three overs. I fully expect Jack to come out of the gate in beast mode and keep going. Provided Zemgus doesn't take him out again before game one. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 8, 2017 Author Report Posted September 8, 2017 do i need to set the over higher? Quote

LGR4GM Posted September 8, 2017 Author Report Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) ok... hold on better? Edited September 8, 2017 by LGR4GM Quote
Sabel79 Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 ok... hold on better? Probably. Still taking the overs. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 I have him at 32-35 goals, 40-50 assists for 72-85 points. Specific, I know. I took the under on all of those, but not by much. Not much would make me happier than Jack producing like that. Quote
SwampD Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 I said 32-44-76 in the other thread so I'm going under-under-under. I'd still be happy with that. Quote

Sabel79 Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 And that he isn't his winger! That might even be more damaging, since we'd have to spend all season watching Zemgus ruin Jack (or at least his output) instead of one short blow... Quote
WildCard Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 Anything less than 80 points for him is a failure Quote
Drunkard Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 Anything less than 80 points for him is a failure If he scores less than 80 we should just force him to retire and make him Mittelstadt's butler. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 8, 2017 Author Report Posted September 8, 2017 If he scores less than 80 we should just force him to retire and make him Mittelstadt's butler. This post is absolutely rediciulous, like are you freaking kidding me? How obnoxious of you to think that Casey Mittelstadt needs a butler, he's his own butler, personal 5 star chef, personal shopper, and celebrity impersonator. #ConeptofCasey Quote
sabills Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 Feck it, over on everything. Jack is the only person I believe in in all of Buffalo sports. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 I would say it's a failure if Jack gets under 70, not 80. Getting over 70 from an ELC indicates a special player. Jack paced for 77 last year. I would take a slight decrease from that pace assuming other areas of his game grow. Quote

Not much would make me happier than Jack producing like that. I think hitting 80 points qualifies as a success, not merely meeting expectations (although, if success is the expectation, then ...?). Anyhoo. I think he'll be right around that 80-point mark. I also think he'll miss 5-7 games here or there. So, I'm thinking he'll be a PPG+ player with 80 points. If he scores less than 80 we should just force him to retire and make him Mittelstadt's butler. Amen. Quote
dudacek Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 If Jack gets less than 80 points this year, I will be disappointed. I can't imagine what everyone who wants to pay him $10 million will think. Quote

Once that bum Eichel is shamed into retirement he's going to need something to do with all that time on his hands and since Mittelstadt (pbuh - am I doing that right, NS?) will already be busy defeating ISIS and North Korea, brokering peace in the Middle East, curing AIDS, plus hand weaving Donald Trump a new hair piece, all while playing hockey like he's the love child of Gretzky and Gordie Howe, he can show Eichel enough compassion to allow him to shine his shoes and serve him breakfast in bed. I can't imagine what everyone who wants to pay him $10 million will think. I'm less stuck on a fixed number. If he gets 80 points, but only plays 74 games, then he'd have projected to 88 points over 82 games, which I think would be a success in most people's eyes. Quote
