The Sabres have signed defenseman Cody Goloubef to a Professional Tryout Agreement.

LOL, I pulled 17 out of mybutt too.

 

Checking, they have 14 under NHL contracts and I think four AHL only deals.

So definitely should be hard to earn a contract.

 

I've had a feeling for a while now though that Gorges will be shipped out in a minor trade or as a buyout or waiver pickup. Don't think he had a future with Botterill's Sabres and they will give him a chance to play elsewhere.
