Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 It's a momentous occasion, I was right. In the absence (apparent anyway) of LPF ... GO IRISH!! Quote
GoPre Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) Let's have at it here. Great idea. Alabama's d' owned Florida State last night. Held the Seminoles to 40 yards on the ground, forced 3 turnovers and shutout FSU in the 2nd half. Bama' controlled the clock last night. Convincing win for the Tide. WildCard Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) Why is college football punting so different than the NFL's? Edited September 3, 2017 by WildCard Quote

Winston Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Francois out for the season with a torn patellar tendon.. Huge blow for FSU. Quote
Taro T Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Francois out for the season with a torn patellar tendon.. Huge blow for FSU. Tough break for FSU. When he needed crutches to move ~10' from the tent to the cart WITH the leg in a full length brace figured it wouldn't be good. Quote
Winston Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) TAMU led UCLA by 34 at one point today, and they held a 44-17 lead in the 4th quarter. UCLA won 45-44. Rosen had himself a day: 35/58, 491 yards, 4 TD, no turnovers. 3 UCLA receivers went over 100 yards. TAMU threw for 89 yards total. Edited September 4, 2017 by EichSnipe Quote
WildCard Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 He was something like 9/28 with 150 yards in the first half. His line and running game is just autrocious Quote
ubkev Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Man, I saw that the Aggie's were smoking em on the bottom line while I was watching the Yankees game and I didn't bother tuning in. When I fell asleep it was 38-10. I missed a doozy. Quote
WildCard Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Just to f### w/ you, Charlie. Just to f### w/ you.  Francois out for the season with a torn patellar tendon.. Huge blow for FSU. My budding fanship for them and this loss is too much to be a coincidence Quote

LGR4GM Posted September 5, 2017 Report Posted September 5, 2017 Not sure Georgia will beat ND. Eason out and Fromm starting. Hope the o-line gets better quick. Quote
Eleven Posted September 5, 2017 Author Report Posted September 5, 2017 ######, I love the triple option. Edit: Gosh darn it.* Those Nebraska teams in the 90s were so much fun to watch! Quote
ubkev Posted September 5, 2017 Report Posted September 5, 2017 Those Nebraska teams in the 90s were so much fun to watch! Yes they were! They went like 60-3 for a stretch under Osborne. Quote
Sabre Dance Posted September 6, 2017 Report Posted September 6, 2017 Frankly, I find the college game far more compelling than the NFL. I know that the NCAA (and some schools) have their issues, but as a whole, I'd much rather watch a game like 'Bama vs. FSU than just about any pro game. The atmosphere, the bands, the student sections. I mean, the U. of M.'s stadium holds over 100,000 for cryin' in the sink! And they fill it every game. That says something right there. Anyway, I kind of like that there are some big match-ups early in the season this year. I always hated waiting for a month for the good games to start. And this year, it looks like the Big Ten will be giving the SEC and ACC a run for the money. It should be fun! Quote

And this year, it looks like the Big Ten will be giving the SEC and ACC a run for the money. It should be fun! It's not as competitive as the NFL, though. Every NFL team enters a game with at least some chance to win. Same can't be said with respect to the vast majority of college games. But yeah, the atmosphere is incredible. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 9, 2017 Report Posted September 9, 2017 The Bills have beaten the patriots 3 times in 17 years or something like that? Not sure every game you have a chance. I understand what you mean about college though. Some of these games are beat downs Quote
Eleven Posted September 9, 2017 Author Report Posted September 9, 2017 (edited) Thing is, every conference has its Vanderbilt. Or Iowa State. Or Duke. Or whatever. They just can't / won't compete. Also, UB today, wow. How to THAT up. Edited September 9, 2017 by Eleven Quote
ubkev Posted September 9, 2017 Report Posted September 9, 2017 Also, UB today, wow. How to ###### THAT up. This is rhetorical, right? It's UB. They won 4 games the entire time I attended. They blow. They had one miracle season and that's just it. That's all it'll ever be. They're back to being a 3 or 4 win team in a garbage conference. Quote

Go to I-AA and build up hockey, lacrosse, basketball, and women's rowing. And I am NOT kidding as to the last of those. They could win title after title on local talent alone. Quote
GoPre Posted September 9, 2017 Report Posted September 9, 2017 Over 109,000 are at the Penn State game. Wow! Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 10, 2017 Report Posted September 10, 2017 OU is controlling the game against OSU. Not impressed by OSU at all. But those two turnovers were killer. Need to finish this drive. Quote
