dudacek Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) Tim Murray acquired Robin Lehner as one of the most-touted under-25 goalies in hockey, to be the long-term answer in the Sabres crease. But whether it is his tough guy demeanour, his injury history, his shootout woes or the price we paid to get him, there seems to be a lot of fans who still question Lehner despite the fact he posted solid numbers playing behind the team that gave up the most shots in hockey. There are those who believe his teammates share those questions. Can he put the questions to bed and make the Sabres his team the way Ryan Miller did before him? bob_sauve28 Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 Your teams most important penalty killer is your goaltender and we had the worst PK in the league. Is that ranking a reflection on Lehner? Quote
Thorner Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 Make a single shootout save and I'll give him a chance. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 I don't feel strongly one way or the other about Lehner. I don't think he will win us or cost us very many games. Quote
Huckleberry Posted September 3, 2017 Report Posted September 3, 2017 I don't feel strongly one way or the other about Lehner. I don't think he will win us or cost us very many games. This is his team to lose is the way I see it. We got Ullmark in the wings for him. But I think we drafted out future #1 this year. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 I just read that Robin has the fifth highest short-handed save percentage in the NHL over the last 3 years, for what it's worth. Quote
