GoPre Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 Late to discuss, but who are you pulling for tonight? I'm going for Mcgregor. He's the underdog. Few are giving him a serious chance. Fits the Buffalo sports fan. Not paying to watch, but will follow the updates. The more the better. Quote
Sabre1974 Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 not sure how it will go, not watching as its not starting till 4am here :) Quote
Weave Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 I have a morbid curiosity for this fight. I can't imagine McGregor winning given its not his discipline. I was out on Lake Ontario this AM. Not sure I'll be able to stay up to watch this fight, but if I am up, I'll watch it. Might even try to find a bar that is showing it. Quote
ubkev Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 Mayweather by a country mile. I have more boxing experience than Conor McGregor. Like, way more! This will not be a fight. Floyd, easy. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 This event is a money grab, nothing more. Mayweather is a boxer, McGregor is an MMA fighter. Two totally different things. First professional fight against a guy who is 49-0? ...money grab. Quote
ubkev Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 This event is a money grab, nothing more. Mayweather is a boxer, McGregor is an MMA fighter. Two totally different things. First professional fight against a guy who is 49-0? ...money grab. Of course it is. I can't blame either of them for it, though. Floyd is guaranteed 100 million and Conor is guaranteed 30 million. They are both going to double that with the PPV money. I'd do the same exact thing if I were in a position to. BUT!!! Make no mistake about it, Floyd wants his 50-0 record. He wants it baaaad! It put him ahead of Marciano as the greatest undefeated champion in boxing. Quote
nfreeman Posted August 27, 2017 Report Posted August 27, 2017 I'm interested and rooting for McG. I'm also on vacation in a fairly densely populated part of Massachusetts, and the closest place that is showing it is 50 miles away! So we might spring for it on the Roku. Quote
bunomatic Posted August 27, 2017 Report Posted August 27, 2017 Floyd will be 50-0 after tonight. No reason for him to lose this fight. Technically he could but what are the chances that'll happen. I won't pay to see the fight but I'd love to see it if only for the spectacle. The bar I'll be at won't show the fight but they serve a great plate of nachos. Quote
pi2000 Posted August 27, 2017 Report Posted August 27, 2017 fun fight. great respect for McGregor to hang in that long. Quote
Weave Posted August 27, 2017 Report Posted August 27, 2017 Quite entertaining. Connor could be a force in boxing if he can condition himself for more than 7 rounds. Quote
Jsixspd Posted August 27, 2017 Report Posted August 27, 2017 This outcome was completely predictable; at least it was more of fight than when Ali fought the Sumo wrestler. LOL Boxing loves these side-show matchups. Quote
