Brawndo Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 Bailey, Baptiste and Tennyson all cleared waivers per Friedman Quote

It's a fair assumption that whichever one of Nylander/Thompson doesn't make the 2nd line ends upin the press box, but thatisn't automatic. Especiallyif Nylander wins that job, I could see Tage getting the nod on the 4th line over Pominville. (Then he looks at the photo of Jason on the cover of the STH package ... ####, ####, ####.) OK, so in 2 weeks when Poms has played his way out of the lineup, they can swap spots between 4th line & press box. Quote

nfreeman Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 Wilson’s injury may have just created a spot for one of TT or Nylander. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 competetion between second and third lines to see who scores more goals will be interesting. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 That looks like one of Thompson/Nylander stays and one goes, to me. Sad face. I hope Pominville/Zemgus have really taken steps forward. Quote
Huckleberry Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) I think Girgensons is the odd man out. I did like the preseason chemistry between nylander and berglund. Edited September 30, 2018 by Huckleberry Quote

Hoss Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 So Tennyson was waived but hasn’t been immediately sent down. Imagine that. ? Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 imagine we were worried that someone would claim Bailey and Baptiste. Not! Quote
Doohicksie Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 I wasn't worried. Even if one of them was claimed.... meh. Quote
Thorner Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 So it looks like Wilson's injury makes it likely both Thompson and Nylander make the team, if they weren't going to already. There are still 28 players in camp, and that's gotta get down to 23 by Tuesday. If Malone, Hunwick, Wilson, Bogosian, and Hickey start on IR, that's 23, and we may even bring someone that was sent down back up, depending on Larsson. Quote

There were eight D practicing today, 14 forwards before Wilson got hurt. Both Guhle and Tennyson go down if Bogo is back, I’m betting. Quote

Ya, so one of Guhle/Tennyson is getting cut either way, and potentially both if Bogo comes back, like you said. Unless Larsson isn't ready, then maybe they carry 13 forwards and 8 D, and one or both of Guhle/Tennyson gets to stay, depending again on Bogosian. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 The practice lineup Skinner Jack Samson Sheary Berglund Thompson/Nylander Girgensons ERod Pominville Sobatka Mittelstadt Okposo Should we be reading anything into Casey and Okposo on the 4th line? Is this a sign the Casey isn’t ready and KO will be as bad as last year? Quote

They may be listed like that on twitter or wherever, but it's definitely switched Quote

Doohicksie Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 It may be an indication that Mitts's line will play the lowest number of minutes. Maybe not a fourth line in the traditional sense, but low minutes to protect the young center. Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 Ill wait until he actually plays a game before assuming the line written 4th won't play many minutes. 28 minutes ago, GASabresIUFAN said: The practice lineup Skinner Jack Samson Sheary Berglund Thompson/Nylander Girgensons ERod Pominville Sobatka Mittelstadt Okposo Should we be reading anything into Casey and Okposo on the 4th line?
