True, but the value of a player depends a lot on their position, IMO

I agree. We are "drafting" the 200 best players in the NHL. When I made my list I thought of it as 10 teams give or take. I broke it down as 125-130 forwards, 65-70 D and 10 goalies and then starting making my list.

This is really hard choice. I'm having a hard time with the fact that we haven't drafted a goalie. Holtby and Bob should really be in this area or higher. But this is a BPA draft and this guy is ranked higher then Holtby and Bob.

G-d I hate this guy, but ............ with the 22nd pick, the GASabresFAN selects Boston LW and agitator Brad Marchand. With back to back 35+ goal seasons, who has finally developed his passing game in the more dynamic Boston offense, we should see another strong season from this jerk.

Thanks for picking that POS.  Now I won't have to.

The server was down for an extended period yesterday.

I have a lot on the go today, so I may not be online when it's time for my next two picks ... I think 4th and then 6th from the current pick.  Paging Derrico ...

So, I will send a PM to the gate keeper just in case.

This is a bit of a gamble as he will no longer be riding shotgun to Kane. But the times I've watched him he still looks like one hell of a player. I'll take

Worth the risk, but he is not in my next top 5, but anyway.

It's easy to see who the early risers are around here, although it is just about 8:00 AM here in the real timezone.

I yearn for the university days when I wouldn't have a class before 11am.  This whole 'adult' business with driving kids to daycare, organizing lunches and working 8-4 is really putting a damper on my sleep time

Ya I use the term working very loosely :D

I hear you ... 9:00 AM in the Great Satan and I notice that you are still active on here ...  ;)

What does that say about me though ... I am at work dealing with a spam email situation in which it appears that a spammer has taken my work email hostage and is sending all kinds of crap using it.  I had about 250+ emails and replies in my inbox this morning.

Oh no, that's a rough morning......I worked my ass off at a private company for a few years but found my way over to the government.....same pay and there are literally entire days that go by where I'm waiting on other people so I can continue with my job.  Muuuuuuuuch slower pace.  Gives me more time on here to call out True on his bogus stats ;)

This guy wouldn't be this high on my list if it was for more than the next season, but he was the 1C on a conference finals team and had 73 points in 74 games.

Ryan Getzlaf.

Eleven, NS, dudacek, dudacek, NS, Eleven.

Definitely. It's an interesting summer to do this.

How many warhorses are past their prime? How many shiny new toys will be here for the long run?

I got PMs from each of the next two posters.

Eleven takes Duncan Keith and NS takes Kessel.

dudacek gets 2 players.

Let it ride, my friend.

I am logging off now, so make sure you make my next pick properly, as only I would do it ...  ;)

Pavelski seems to be perennially underrated. Is there a higher scoring American over the past five years?

And I believe the correct pronunciation is EHLERS!
