Some stats through 78 Picks

Position ( I ised the NHL.com listed, thus Samson is listed as a center)

C: 28

LW: 15

RW: 10

D: 21

G: 4

Numbers: 49 different numbers most common 4 @ 91, 4 @ 8, 3 @ 23, 3 @ 55, 3 @ 77, & 3 @ 88

Draft: At least 1 player from every draft since 2002 with 4 Not Drafted.  2003 8 picks, 2007 8 picks, 2010 8 picks, & 2008 7 picks.

Draft position: Top 2: 17 picks, 3-5: 11 picks, 6-10: 12 picks, rest of 1st rd: 14 picks.  Thus 54 of 78 from the 1st rd.

8 2nd rd picks, 5 from the 3rd.  Lowest picks Byfuglien 245 in 2003 and Pavelski 205 also in 2003.

Wow.  Excellent work here sir.

Who were the 4 undrafted?

I Still have about 10 D before Slavin

Klingberg, Shattenkirk, Schultz, Hamilton, Ellis, Spurgeon, Leddy, Carlson, Gardiner & Giordano

I'd argue on a couple others, but you're flat crazy on the bolded.

I really like both Carlson and Schultz.  That said I can accept your argument with Carlson, but I love what Pitt has done with Schultz.  I also like Seabrook and Klefbom over Slavin (and I really like Slavin).  I'm trying to project for next season and Schultz is going to give me 50% more offense then Slavin.  Slavin is a great shot blocker but not overly physical with just 35 hits last season.  Schultz has become an effect shot blocker, has improved his physical game.  Slavin is an excellent pker, but adds little to the PP.  Schultz is the opposite.  He is the PP QB but is just beginning to get PK time.   With the other things a wash, I'll take the great offense.

You are remembering Seabrook. He is a pylon these days and an albatross contract.

Just to Sheary

Is everyone sleeping on Dougie Hamilton here?

Hamilton is probably the defender I would take next... he's on my list.

Is Arvidsson till there?!  Wow, and he as pretty impressive in the playoffs, Regular season 61 pts and a plus 28...  And it looks like he was just finding his groove.

The 4 players I listed were the guys who hadn't been drafted.  What does "just Sheary" mean?

Hamilton, Klingberg, Shattenkirk should all be amongst the next D taken

Yes, Arviddson is still there.  Don't tell anyone, I'm up in a couple of picks.

Sorry, I just took Sheary.

I don't know if my methodology was flawed or if they are in fact this screwed, but I went in and did a list of 250 players for this.  There are exactly three Vancouver players on it.  The first one is at 194.

Considered taking Johnson or MacKinnon, but in the end went w/ the guy TM should've grabbed 2 years ago to be Eichel's LW: Johnathan Drouin.

Not holding being a part of Moe-ray-all's tire fire forward ranks against him.

Randall,

You better hope that first assignment this fall is not for marking.  WildCard would probably manage to get less than zero on it.

John Klingberg, D , Dallas. How can a young top 11 scoring D who plays in 23 minutes a night and in all situations still be available at this point?

I'm also surprised that Arviddson is still available, or Shattenkirk for that matter.
