Brawndo Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 The Sabres have signed forwards Kevin Porter and Kyle Criscuolo each to two-year, two-way contracts. Quote

dejeanerret Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 ...and that's exactly where Kevin Porter belongs. Wish I could unremember the years he played on the 2nd line. Quote
Brawndo Posted July 1, 2017 Author Report Posted July 1, 2017 The Sabres have signed goaltender Adam Wilcox to a one-year, two-way contract. Now that's interesting Quote
dudacek Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Doesn't look like he has an NHL future, but isnt he our sixth pro goalie now? Cutting ties with Kasdorf? Quote
Brawndo Posted July 1, 2017 Author Report Posted July 1, 2017 Kasdorf and Johnassen to Cincinnati I would guess Quote
dudacek Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Damn, Griffith is an AHL stud. Porter is the grizzled veteran centre. Criscuolo is someone iIve never heard of, but he's put up decent numbers. Every one of them is tiny. With Ullmark holding the fort in goal and the finge NHLers they added to the blueline, it looks like JBot is keeping his word on the Amerks Quote

So there's a connection there. Botterill is doing what he said, putting an effort in both Rochester and Buffalo to create a winning culture. I love it so far. Quote
Huckleberry Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 (edited) Rochester looking good 2 year deals Porter Criscuolo Tennyson 1 year deals Wilcox ( don't see him in rochester much though) Griffith Josefson Edited July 2, 2017 by Huckleberry Quote
LGR4GM Posted July 18, 2017 Report Posted July 18, 2017 Rochester Americans General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the team has signed defenseman BARRY GOERS and forward ADAM KRAUSE to one-year American Hockey League contracts. Quote
Amerks8796 Posted July 18, 2017 Report Posted July 18, 2017 Not exactly high profile AHL signingsThey had those on July 1st though. The veteran rule is a pain. They can't really make anymore high profile signings as they're at the veteran limit right now. Quote
LGR4GM Posted July 18, 2017 Report Posted July 18, 2017 Good write up on all the Rochester stuff: http://www.amerks.com/articlef/BOTTERILL,%20SEXTON%20READY%20TO%20RESTORE%20AMERKS%20TO%20PROMINENCE Quote

Injuries and call ups killed them last year and anyone worth a damn left either didn't bother to show up or quit. Quote

Here's a great example. Casey Nelson made the Sabres out of camp last season. Right now? He's the Amerks 5th defenseman. Quote
pastajoe Posted July 18, 2017 Report Posted July 18, 2017 Not exactly high profile AHL signings I wonder if some of these are for Cincy ECHL. Quote

Former college winger who can score, or at least could in the KHL. Couple that with the two former Baby Pens signed this week and a report they signed tough d-man Andrew MacWilliam and we are clearly investing in the Amerks. Guys like Stephens and Karabacek will have to earn their ice time. Quote
shrader Posted July 20, 2017 Report Posted July 20, 2017 Interesting. TSN actually covered it a bit 2 years ago when Moses jumped over and signed with Nashville last year. I didn't even realize that he didn't even last in the US for even half a season. It looks like that experiment quickly failed, as he's just an AHL contract now. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted July 20, 2017 Report Posted July 20, 2017 I was thinking "everybody is a JBot Baby Pen clone". When will we start adding Nashville/Housley folks. But here we are with a Pred. Begun the Americlone Wars have. Quote
